I was busy tasing Epic Mickey 2 for the Wii and decided to play back the dtm file that I have worked on for the past couple days. Not even 2 minutes into the tas, it desynced and I was like 'oh shit better try another one' so I go ahead and try the previous dtm I saved. It desynced. Then I tried the dtm file I knew worked in the past. It desynced. The weirdest thing is that they all desynced at the same spot. How can I fix this?

Not necessarily. I assume you haven't changed any settings or anything that would impact sync? Otherwise... you're just kinda screwed until Dolphin decides to sync again. Sometimes I'll come back to a dtm a few months after it stopped syncing, and then it syncs again. You could try reinstalling Dolphin as well, but your mileage may vary.

What Dolphin version are you using? (latest dev or latest stable?) Do you have any problematic settings enabled? (e.g. Dual Core, which is not at all deterministic.) Do you have a portable.txt file in your Dolphin folder? (it is highly recommended to do so as to not mismatch configs between different versions, which can cause "magic" desyncs). Any non-default settings? Also see https://tasvideos.org/Forum/Topics/18330

I suggest trying the latest stable release instead (5.0) as the latest dev builds have more desync problems. Also make note of the other things in that post and the post I linked.

Very unlikely to work, considering how old the latest stable is. Odd that game doesn't work for you on 5.0, seems to work just fine for me.

This is not a good sign! Please check that you have a good dump of the game. If the game is in the NKit format, your DTM files are not sync compatible with good dumps of the game and will not be accepted for publication here.

No, DTMs are not sync compatible between 5.0 and recent versions.

so i played back the old dtm from the stable 5.0 version and it did the same exact thing as it did last time (crash at the end of yensid's lab) with no desyncs

the files are in wbfs format so they should be fine edit: i decided to start over so hopefully this doesn't happen again. i figured out that for some reason 5 inputs were copied so can someone tell me how that might have happened?
