The hack Rogue Dawn (by Grimlock) is a very polished game with amazing graphics even though it is a Metroid 1 hack, and it also introduces a walljump ability, springball aswell as a map, saving, fixed RNG, custom music, custom graphics, healing tiles, new bosses and easter egg rooms into the game. If anyone is interested in TASing this hack (yes it is a hack, not a so-called official game, but it is very polished and should be good enough for TASVideos' standards and wishes), then a finalized version of the hack can easily be found by googling ''Metroid Rogue Dawn''. I think it could be a fun TAS project.
collect, analyse, categorise. "Mathematics - When tool-assisted skills are just not enough" ;) Don't want to be taking up so much space adding to posts, but might be worth mentioning and letting others know for what games 1) already some TAS work has been done (ordered in decreasing amount, relative to a game completion) by me and 2) I am (in decreasing order) planning/considering to TAS them. Those would majorly be SNES games (if not, it will be indicated in the list) I'm focusing on. 1) Spanky's Quest; On the Ball/Cameltry; Musya; Super R-Type; Plok; Sutte Hakkun; The Wizard of Oz; Battletoads Doubledragon; Super Ghouls'n Ghosts; Firepower 2000; Brain Lord; Warios Woods; Super Turrican; The Humans. 2) Secret Command (SEGA); Star Force (NES); Hyperzone; Aladdin; R-Type 3; Power Blade 2 (NES); Super Turrican 2; First Samurai. Link to video Here is my video showing the route for early version of Rogue Dawn The problem is that they ruined the game in last version (1.20). They ruined some puzzles, fixed some tricks, reduce difficulty AND more importantly added stupid speedrun route. Yes their stupid speedrun route are faster than route in the video, but it feels so awkward and bad when developers guides you trough the game. And it feels so much better when you destroy it by glitches and strategies.

We don't have to stick to the latest version. And if there's enough variety, we can have a hack with 2 branches. [1853] SNES Metroid Super ZeroMission by Cpadolf in 20:43.28 [2381] SNES Metroid Super ZeroMission "101%" by Hoandjzj in 1:19:30.64 It's amusing how these 2 runs also represent a Metroid game, and in addition to proving the point about 2 branches for just a hack, they also showcase different hack revisions :)
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

Wonderland Dizzy for NES that was released in 2015 is what I would like to see TASed. The bigger brother (Fantastic Dizzy) does not seem to have any progress for last years, maybe at least this would get a TAS.

Already Exists: [3728] NES Super Mario Bros. "warpless" by HappyLee & Mars608 in 18:36.78 As for "pipeless" well logically you can only do 1-1 so no (also it'd be a submission that straight up would be rejected).

Layla, a japanese game released by dB-SOFT in 1986. Apparently there's a japanese TAS of it already, but I'd love to see it obsoleted here on TASVideos: Link to video Also there's a full hack called Layla: The Iris Missions, made by Supper. It has a [very recent] TAS too, not submitted here tho: Link to video
Games are basically math with a visual representation of this math, that's why I make the scripts, to re-see games as math. My things: YouTube, GitHub, Pastebin, Twitter

Wow this game is interesting, very cute puzzle. Apparently there's a WIP, that seems to be made by Bisqwit, due the TASVideos logo in the beginning and the game being metioned here in his abandoned projects.

Yeap) I think it is easy to TAS, if you have time. Also I remembered other game - Flipull.

Has anyone looked at Ys II: Ancient Ys Vanished - The Final Chapter? I was playing the game recently and got knocked out of bounds in one area -- hit by the enemy, which bypassed an exit at the bottom of the screen -- though I wasn't able to pull off any exploits with it.

would love to see a high score TAS of the recently released Pac-Man Championship Edition NES Demake from Namco Museum Archives Vol 1. Turns out they went and made a fully remade NES version of CE and it even plays on original NES hardware and all

Call me crazy, but I think that a TAS of the unreleased game Drac's Night Out might be interesting!

Would be a nice run, the game backgrounds and enemy movements remind me of Donald Land.

A couple of games that have routes but no TASes Conan - would be a very short 6ish min run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssbn2obKAy0 Monty on the Run - short FDS platformer, pretty straightforward - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zezhaJUC-jQ Stanley: The Search for Dr Livingston - long exploration platformer, fairly well routed a while ago but pretty simple - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zezhaJUC-jQ Happy to provide more info on any of the runs for anyone interested.

Short new homebrew port of L'Abbaye des Morts - https://parisoft.itch.io/abbaye-nes Best RTA route I came up with - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StPCD1KMvTQ

Another short game with no TAS, CJs Elephant Antics, on the Quattro Arcade cart. Enemy item drops are random, so I would assume a TAS would just keep manipulating sodas (speed) and bomb drops. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoHUFkp09c4

Another from the Quattro Arcade cart, Stunt Buggies. Pretty simple game, go around and collect all the bombs in each level. Enemies can be somewhat manipulated if they're close to you, not sure if you really can when they're far. My general RTA route, could definitely be a bit more optimal in some spots, but about as good as I came up with for RTA - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ksDeqsqtMk And also the 3 hidden level warps we found - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtQt8vMLPv0

Little Lancelot, a 2018 NTSC rerelease of PAL only The Legend of Prince Valiant. Route is pretty basic, 3 platforming, and 2 gallery shooter levels. RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urm_62pw8k0
