The published TAS can be improved in various ways, most notably due to a new route and by skipping all the level transitions when obtaining a remote by a simple pause exit. It would also be a significant improvement in terms of entertainment, since it would cut out downtime in form of the level transitions and the remotes that are now skipped happen to be the least interesting ones to watch. This is how the current route looks - Mission control (1 remote) - Holiday TV (4 remotes, 1 bonus token) - Mystery TV (3 remotes, 1 bonus token) - Mission control (1 bonus token) - Tut TV (4 remotes, 1 bonus token) - Western Station (2 remotes, 1 bonus token) - Anime Channel (2 remotes, 1 bonus token) - WWGex Wrestling (1 remote) - Gextreme Sports (1 remote) - Superhero Show (3 remotes, 1 bonus token) - Marsupial Madness (1 remote) - Lizard of Oz (1 remote) - Channel Z The difference to the published TAS is that the new route skips the longest mission remotes in Western and Anime by replacing them with the reward remote in Tut and the second bonus stage (Marsupial). The Tut reward is just obviously faster, due to how well the collectibles can be obtained during one of the missions. The second bonus level requires us to go out of the way at times to collect additional bonus tokens, but the time saved from skipping either of the two long remotes more than makes up for it.
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

This game is pretty sync friendly, so here is a resynced level 1 which incorporates the cutscene skips as well as adds in a few time saving jumps from the RTA world record. EDIT: more levels done. I'll implement andypanther's new route as I go.

EDIT: new run submitted Full game resync with new route and cutscene cancels. There are a couple things I need to fix before submitting, but this is pretty much what the final run will look like. Just under 25 minutes compared to the 27:22 of the published run.
