I can't get pass level 3 and I want to see the final boss which you must defeat 3 times to finish the game. I would really appreciate if someone made a movie about NES Robocop 2

It is a wise idea to use the Search to locate past discussions about the subject you're interested of! http://tasvideos.org/Search.html?key=robocop&forum=1 EDIT: Nevermind, you said Robocop 2. Nope, no idea if anyone has tried it.

You already made a thread below. Please don't make another thread. Perhaps if you tried making a run for this game yourself, it would receive some attention.

It's all right... Writing this because I won't and can't do it perfectly on my own! Well, I suppose this game used to be popular in NES times and in 2000th in poor countries, but now I have doubts about that because this game is still NOT published on our site and has NO threads at forum (trash from 2006 isn't count). RoboCop 2, here we go. This is a side-scrolling game, a shooter, a... ...nothing else. Main objective is to finish each level with at least 60% of destroyed Nuke and arrested villains. There are 13 levels (+3 levels with final boss). To pass level 1,3,4 you have to discover Nuke storages and collect extra bottles (they are already shown in the WIP below). The main problem of this game is RoboCop's inertia, slippage, speed up and down (movement). I would TAS the whole game, but it's gonna be rejected due to slow movement. Here is the WIP: User movie #35184961646526742 All right, here are my notes: All levels might be improvable (excepting level 1 and maybe 2). It's faster to jump over enemies rather then shoot them. Though you have your health points, some enemies kill you instantly if you touch them. Level 3. On the way to the Nuke storage, an electric facility blocks the way. When the player crosses the certain zone, a "timer" starts its work and, when it ends, the facility triggers the lighting. I can't figure out how exactly it works, but it's possible to manipulate this part of RNG and save the time. I mean, make the facility to trigger the lighting at certain time to spend no time on waiting for the lighting to disappear. I hope you'll understand what I mean. Level 8, where you have to kill the oldman (his name is Cain, seems to be). Here is the glitch: by pausing the game at certain period of time, you can break his shooting algorithm. In normal conditions, he shoots 2 missles and then waits for some seconds, and so 8 times (14 missles in total), then you must beat him. By pausing the game you can speed him up and complete the level faster. Level 9. Pick up the weapon W. It kills every enemy with a single shot. It saves much time. Here is my old TAS, maybe it will help: Link to video

Here's my RTA record, 30-40 seconds faster, would love to see someone finish an optimized TAS of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCm2Cp_5gR0 I remember I accidentally found a zip in the 2nd to last stage, Centrum Floor 4. It did the same sort of thing that getting hit by one of the missiles does in that it took me all the way to the end of the stage, but with the zip it actually finished the stage without killing me. It was involving the elevator in the middle of the stage. Unfortunately I wasn't recording, but it was like I went below the screen then I jumped up into the platform there on the right. I don't remember the specifics but it would definitely save time.

So, I made a research. Looks like, it doesn't make sense to go for the weapon at the beginning of level 1 and save ammo to kill Cain (boss) in 1 shot. Weapon only gives you 10 blasts, while the bare minimum of shots in order to reach him is 11 shots. Most of the tall enemies are impossible to jump over. And even if it's possible to save 1 bullet for the battle, it doesn't worth it because you'll spend more time bypassing enemies. In the final boss battle, your weapon is taken away, so it doesn't make sense to save ammo for it either.

Didn't test this glitch, but I can assume it might happen if you touch that missile thing and the elevator on the same frame, but I hope you can arrest villains in that state because you need 3 of them to finish the level.
