Hey, thanks a lot. I was already about halfway through AC2 (optimizing every route along the way), but it came in handy for the rest of it. I'm done with AC and I've figured out my strategy for Skullian but haven't optimized it. The best time I have managed tonight is 26"62 (still pretty far off from WR). SkyL said the strategy is using void as fast as possible, so I'm expecting the eight rings along the runway should be saved for void. It'll also be important to see if the Skullian fight behave like Orcan with "map" scrolling. It should be optimal grabbing the first set of rings immediately after transforming into void. If it is like Orcan, then I'll be able to manipulate the map by: A) Going very fast B) Going very slow C) A mix between the two (hopefully this) The manipulation will be important because collecting the first set then second set versus collecting the first set after the wrap-around from the second set has a big difference (about a second in-game time).

That's great to hear. What sort of times did you get in total?

I think you'll be even happier with your time for Terminal Velocity. I've tried everything I could think of a dozen times over the course of three days. My final time was only 1'28"54. I did manage to save a frame from delaying the Laser hit, so it moved down from 1'28"55. I'll have the rest of my times in my submission.

Now see, I thought I was roughly 15 frames of perfect due to button mashing. This pleases me :3 Looking forward to the final product. Well done.

The fact that you can't beat his record doesn't mean his game is broken. Do you know what modesty is? It's a really useful quality!

Lol. I wouldn't be surprised. But i highly doubt the game code for my cart would be different to yours, since they should all be the same as the carts are produced en masse. In fact, i shall test it on a different system (3DS), to make sure my clock isn't bugged on my DSiXL.

Not to rush you, but you seem to TAS a lot better than you submit said TASs.

Hopefully this is okay, as I read through the rules and didn't see anything that's against this. I was directed here from the Discord server. Below is a zip containing my 100% save file and a Bizhawk cheat file for Colors DS. The save file is just for whoever wants to play around with it and see what they can find. I'm currently doing a TAS of the game with this to see how broken each map can get. Here's what the TAS currently looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XIjNKHntDU Some tricks that I know you can do with the speed hack: - Slope launching (boost on a slope, jump, release the boost button and keep holding either A or B to go really high up) - Layer swap skip (find a point where collision temporarily isn't active for a layer like slopes up to a higher point in the map or the left/right sides of a loop. Now boost away from or through that point and the layer swap shouldn't happen. Use this to skip massive chunks of maps, as it leaves a lot of stuff unsolid.) - Rail clipping (boost while on a rail that's next to a wall to clip into or even go right past the said wall) - Walking on normally unwalkable walls (if Sonic gets thrown at or pushed into a wall in the right way, he can run on it. You can then boost to the top of the map and skip stuff if combined with a layer swap skip.) https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/280806848909541376/1068915310456995981/Cheats_and_save.zip (And no, this doesn't contain copyrighted material.)

Oh, neat; this almost passed me by. Best of luck with it Mathy; I'm looking forward to see any new findings in the sections where Boost is unlocked. Not to mention a new strats in the Wisp sections. I haven't been paying much attention to the general progress in this game when it come to RTA. Geez, over a decade huh? Going to get me feeling Old.
