You have to burn the rope is a satirical flash game. This is a remake of that game in Pico-8.

Game objectives

  • Emulator used: libTAS 1.4.5
  • Beat the game with the lowest IGT possible

Comments

I get through the hallway as quickly as possible by jumping over ledges and avoiding bumping into walls. Once I'm at the end of the hallway, I jump up the stairs to burn the rope at the top of the level.

How does this keep happening. I distinctly remember putting "Platform: PICO-8" in the annotations.

Great port! It's just missing the ending vocals. Maybe an update could at least add the lyrics in time with some 8-bit music. Optimization looks fine. Thanks for introducing us to another version of this game!
