About the Game

Stallar is a short 2022 homebrew platformer made for Ludum Dare 50 by Wendel Scardua, with the theme "Delay the Inevitable". As some black-haired guy, your task is to complete a basic level with the option to collect up to 11 stars.

About the TAS

This TAS aims to reach the goal as fast as possible, regardless of stars.
We press start on frame 49. From there, we just run to the right and jump when needed. Input ends on frame 471 when we have enough momentum to reach the goal while decelerating. If we go past the goal, the game will go on indefinitely and you can rack up a very high amount of coins.
Not really much else to say about this TAS.
Thanks for reading.

This sounds like a worthwhile (if not better) alternate goal choice for this game, assuming "very high" =/= unlimited...

the thing is, the map goes on FOREVER and we can rack up an infinite amount of coins. so maximum coins wouldn’t be a viable goal choice.

It can't be literally infinite if it's stored in the game as a number.
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.

but still, it would take an extremely long time to TAS and all the map layouts are uncontrollably random, so... yeah.
