Game objectives
- Emulator used: BizHawk 2.9.1
- Finish the game
My idea was to do a TAS with just 1 minute, but I saw that I could do more than that, so I decided to do a longer TAS, and I ended up doing one of 16 minutes and 3 seconds, it's a short time, but for me It was a high time, I can improve with time, especially because this is my first TAS, and I have never had a TAS in my life. so yeah, I will bring more long TAS, just wait.
things the audience would probably like to see: Super Mario 64 TAS, More Super Mario World TAS, NSMB TAS, and more.
things that could be improved in my movie: improve a little more in glitches, and speed in movies
nymx: Claiming for judging.

umcinco. You have chosen a noble and well sought after game for TASing. Unfortunately, this game has been heavily exploited and it would be a great challenge to improve upon.
At first, I was very confused at your categorization of "Warps", when it looks more like a play-around. If your intent was to perform an entertaining run, then it would be critic-ed by voting and audience feedback....which is not looking good. (Currently standing with 5 no's and 2 yes's). If it were compared against the existing "Warps" runs, then you are way off pace. I usually ask TASers to redo their work to make up for differences, but that goes for work that we have no comparison for. Here, you are over 6 minutes behind the current record holding run of
[4144] SNES Super Mario World "warps" by BrunoVisnadi in 09:54.35.
Some things that I've noted about your run, that lead me to my upcoming decision:
- If you are going for speed, then you are making huge routing mistakes (IE, going back for a "feather")
- There are a number of places where you decided to just perform meaningless tasks, that don't help you to move along fast. (IE, going back to kill enemies, or tossing a shell up in the air to performs tricks, waiting for the "end of stage" finish line to come down)
- If you are trying for a Play-Around, then your tricks are falling behind in entertainment. As I see it...most of your effort can be reproduced by human effort.
- For a Warps category, I would expect a TAS to get to the point of reaching "Star Road" as quickly as possible, and navigating to Bowser's castle in the same fashion.
So, I cannot accept this work...since the main reason is optimization. On this site, we require all submissions to beat all known records, which this does not.
Rejecting.
Note: Because of you have mentioned other games that you are interested in TASing, I caution you to take your time and work towards beating an existing run that has a publication on this site.
