Pepper II
Pepper II is an arcade video game developed by Exidy and published in 1982. Despite its name, there was no predecessor named Pepper or Pepper I. As in Amidar by Konami and Stern Electronics, the goal is to color the lines on a grid; each rectangle is filled-in after being completely surrounded. Coleco published a port of Pepper II for its ColecoVision home system.

Effort In TASing
I've been looking at this game for some time, and I finally decided to sit down and get this done. It was a fairly easy TAS, due to many other Colecovision games I've TASed, and other similar strategy games. In addition, this game had very limited AI control which fortunately was enough to make this game do what I wanted it to. One point to making this faster, was to avoid attacking the enemies...as it paused for a moment.
The outcome of this work shows about 47 seconds faster than the WR of 3 minutes and 17 seconds.
Difficulty and Ending Choice
This game is played on the hardest level of 4 and ends after completing the four mazes. You can visually determine the completion by the legend at the bottom right.
Human Comparison (WR)
Darkman425: Let me judge to see what spice level this has.
nymx: It was bugging me and I finally figured it out. Cut the TAS by 21 frames, due to ending input early on a long stretch. :)
Darkman425: I verified that the improved input synced on my end.
The optimization looks good with a lot of close calls not running into the enemies while keeping travel time in levels to a minimum. Completing one loop makes sense for an end point. Nice work!
