Rockman Exhaust TAS Played by aglasscage and woabclf23.

-Emulator: FCEUX 2.1.3
-Aims for fastest time
-Abuses programming errors
-Takes damage to save time
"What we have here is a game with custom levels, new music, and wait for it... bosses that don't attack in the way you remember from Mega Man 2. Take Quick Man for example. The little punk is actually invincible when he runs! Isn't that wonderful? And instead of force beams, his stage has these trippy-looking yellow zig-zag wires, but they still serve the same purpose as force beams; instant death. You can get this one from the hacker's site [dead link removed]" -GamingRocksOn.BlogSpot
Enjoy :)

klmz: Replaced movie file so that it doesn't begin with savestate.
FractalFusion: Judging.
FractalFusion: This hack doesn't seem to do well enough, as compared with the current state of MM2 hacking. I'm rejecting the run.

DrD2k9: Re-evaluating due to policy changes.
DrD2k9: We are no longer as restrictive on hacks as we once were; especially with the site moving more to a game-based navigation. While others more familiar with the game/hack may be able to see things that could be improved, this run appears well optimized to me.
Accepting.
Publication note: this syncs on FCEUX 2.6.6

Thanks for the encode, Flygon! In the Woodman battle, couldn't you climb higher up the trunk to reduce teleport time? In Wily 2, why the switch to Leaf Shield? You only use it on one enemy that you ought to be able to kill with the buster just fine. Is it a matter of killing it before it can fire? Likewise the use of the boomerangs vs. a Sniper Joe shortly afterwards. On the whole, I didn't really care for this hack's graphical or musical choices, and the level design seemed generally standard fare. The Kirby level was especially bizarre. Sure, the bosses were different, but they died so quickly it didn't matter in practice. Voting meh.

While the run was well done, I didn't think the hack offered anything particularly new or exciting. Voted meh. And thanks for the encode, Flygon.

The hack was sufficiently different to be an essentially different MM game, and the run looked pretty clean aside from the things Derakon asked about. It's not an outstanding hack, but then again, very few are (and can I mention here how much I'm looking forward to MM4 Minus Infinity being finished?). Voting yes, because clean run + solid hack = 6. edit: Also, thanks Flygon for the encode, and woabclf for the other links. That MM Ultra is kind of "why bother," but that "ABnormality" which I am watching currently is holy cow sweet.

aside from the things Derakon asked about
not as much concerns
In the Woodman battle, couldn't you climb higher up the trunk to reduce teleport time?
no you cannot jump higher to reduce the teleport time
In Wily 2, why the switch to Leaf Shield?
we must kill the enemy before it fires, because it cannot be avoided
Likewise the use of the boomerangs vs. a Sniper Joe shortly afterwards.
boomerang is the only weapon to kill him before he raises the shield

Personally, I don't care for this hack. The only things I liked about it: 1. Use of Kirby's Adventure for Crash Man's level. 2. Fixing the Item 1 & 2 flipping error. 3. Wily 4 boss. Voting NO on game choice.

Looks great! Way to exploit the same glitches from rockman 2.. Yes for me!
If at first you don't succeed, load your savestate and try again!

Voting no. The hack isn't that great: the level design is average and the music hurts my ears.
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

Can I get an encode in MP4, please? I tried downloading the Archive.org streaming version, but it's ridiculously big for its' length, and it looks horrible on the PS3.

14 years passed and the times changed. Better late than never ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.
