I made my first fastest softlock TAS as an April Fools submission—basically, a joke run. But a few days ago, I wanted to see if there was a faster fastest softlock, and it got me thinking.
Here's an improvement that plays 1-2 instead of 5-1. I setup an ultra jump, and time the moo throw so I touch the death plane then upwarp afterwards. This is faster by 1881 frames (00:31.436) compared to the previous submission.

Uses the same verification movie as the previous.

Also, while you can do this same setup in 1-1 or 4-2, it takes longer to do in those visions.
