About this game and movie

Bad Piggies HD v2.0 (or just Bad Piggies 2, for short) is an unofficial Flash port of the multi-platform game Bad Piggies, made by Rovio. This version is infamous for having Ross (the main character) bleed from the nose whenever he gets hit. Unlike the base game, this game only has 30 levels (you can't unlock the other two level packs lol), and they're not like the ones in the actual game.
This movie aims to complete all 30 stages as fast as possible, and it achieves that goal roughly 9 minutes faster than the RTA WR by Jackzfiml.

Why the "2"

Before TASing this version, I TASed another Flash version of this game, simply titled "Bad Piggies". That version only had half of the levels this one has, along with slightly different physics and graphics. I submitted that TAS in the userfiles and the encode is on Youtube.

Car parts

Ross
The main character of the game. The objective of each level is to get Ross to the end flag. This pig is technically the most important "car part" of the game, without him, I couldn't complete a single level.
Crates
It's a crate. Aside from like two levels, I use this item in every stage. They're basically what keeps the structures I build together and I use them in almost every stage.
Wheels
They're wheels, what more do you need me to explain?
Bellows
This is the first item I can "activate" by pressing its blue button. Activating this item makes it move in the opposite direction of the blowing. This item is very useful because I can spam the button, which leads to some very high speeds. If I place this item but don't attach it to a crate, blowing it just makes it go flying, which may sound useful, but it just ends up clipping through Ross and his (technically my) contraptions, rendering it useless.
Fans
This item is kind of like a bellow you can't spam, which makes it worse. Just like the bellows, using the fans while they aren't attached to anything will just cause them to fly in a useless way.
TNTs
Detonating this block will cause it to explode, which causes everything near it to be launched.
Soda bottles
This item is basically a more powerful, single-time use version of a fan. And just like the fan, using it while it isn't attached to a crate will make it fly uselessly.
Balloons
When these items are attached to a crate, said crate and everything that's attached to it will be pulled by the balloons upwards. If there are enough balloons, the contraptions you build can even fly.
Rockets
Just a more powerful version of the soda bottle.

Interesting mechanics and glitches

Fast camera
By clicking the screen in the beginning of every stage, the camera moves faster, which obviously saves time. If I had to estimate it, I think this trick saves 30 seconds across the whole run.
Level exiting
If you exit the level after Ross touches the end flag, you can immediately pick the next level, saving a lot of time. This trick also has the side effect of giving 3 stars after completion, but this isn't relevant for the run.
Power Pushing
When using fans, soda bottles, rockets or bellows, if they hit Ross while they're active and going in the direction that they're being propelled towards, Ross might be pushed and gain a lot of momentum (the magnitude of which increases according to the way I ordered the items), which is useful for clearing stages quickly. The bellows are the most useful items for this, seeing as they're the strongest and the easiest to control.
Fan Lodging
Remember when I talked about using fans that aren't attached to anything? Well, when you make one move towards a contraption, it might become lodged in the contraption itself, which causes some very erratic movement. This can be useful for completing stages more quickly, but it is very hard to control. See level 5 so you can understand this.
Blast Bulking
For some reason, when using TNTs, the more parts your vehicle has, the farther it goes. This might actually be the most counterintuitive glitch I have ever seen in a videogame.
Side balloons
If I place a balloon next to or below a crate, it will attach as if I placed it upwards. This allows me to attach more balloons than intended for a contraption (see level 20).
Indeterminism
Annoyingly, this game is not fully deterministic, for instance: The order I place the blocks in can change how the contraption will work, and so can the frame that I start the stage at. I honestly didn't really care about that in any stage except for the 7th level.

Level by level commentary

1
Very simple stage. That contraption seemed to be the fastest one I tried.
2
here we see the absurdity of the bellows. I actually have to be kind of careful in order to avoid overshooting the end flag. I also couldn't use Power Pushing because of that.
3
The contraption I built allows me to cross that gap relatively smoothly.
4
Out of all of the combinations I tested, this was the fastest one.
5
This is the first stage in the run where I use Fan Lodging. It's very complicated to control machines in this state, so it may be possible to complete this stage (and the others that use this glitch) more quickly than I did.
6
Kaboom
7
The order in which I placed the items was very important. There were times when, despite being the same, the contraptions didn't even complete the stage.
8
Here we have the first big example of Power Pushing. I use it to complete this stage in a quick and simple way.
9
Same diff as level 8.
10
I purposely perform a pretty precise Power Pushing punch to put the pitiful pig in the pressing place pronto.
11
This is a pretty clear example of Blast Bulking in the run. If I had just blown up Ross, he wouldn't have even gotten halfway. The soda bottle saves a sliver of time.
12
This was one of the most complicated stages to complete, mostly because of the Fan Lodging and the weird route I took.
13
You can legitimately blink and miss this entire stage.
14
I wedge the fan and perform a sort of slope slide to complete this stage pretty swiftly.
15
The contraption I used in this stage may seem overly complicated, but it was the fastest completion of this stage that I found.
16
I could just float normally, but nah, Power Pushing is the way. I almost overshot it lmao.
17
Now I have to float normally, so it's not cool. This stage does have something weird, though: The platform you start at doesn't have collision, kind of. All I know is that all objects fall through it. I couldn't use that to save any time.
18
If I had used a different contraption, I could have saved a single frame, but it would be more boring, so I decided to use this slower, but cooler method.
19
I use a Power Push to quickly get Ross to the end flag. This trick is kind of inconsistent with the fan, so I couldn't really fine-tune it to get the maximum amount of speed without bonking on the wall.
20
The completion of this stage feels like something out of a Worms game. If you go frame by frame, you'll see that I placed one of the balloon sets below the crate and it ended up on top of it, which allowed the crate to have 4 balloons attached to it, saving time.
21
The way I fall through this ditch without bonking on a single wall is just chef's kiss.
22
When I TASed this stage, I was like "hmmm, I could bump into the upper part of that rock block in a specific way so that I get launched like in level 20" but then I realized I can just go below and do it more quickly as well as more easily.
23
I'm not too satisfied with this stage, but that part where the "monocycle" is standing while Ross is on it is pretty cool.
24
I managed to use a Power Push to save a little bit of time. I tried using the TNT located at the bottom of the stage, but it didn't help much.
25
Unlike the Power Push in level 19, I could actually fine-tune it pretty well here. I never realized how close to the edge (Yes) I was.
26
This is probably my favorite Power Push in the run, it was very precise and very cool. Unfortunately, due to that required precision, I couldn't really optimize the rest of the stage much.
27
I tried really hard, but I could not get a Power Push from the soda bottle that would get me to the end goal quickly. I had to settle with just normal blasting instead, which was still hard to optimize, by the way. This is probably one of the stages I had the most rerecords on, seeing as I had to test different moments to set off the soda bottle and the balloons.
28
I perform a pretty silly Fan Lodge here that ended up ejecting Ross at a basically perfect angle.
29
This is, without a doubt, the most convoluted contraption I use in the run. It took me over 800 rerecords just to figure it out, which feels kind of dumb looking back on it. The amount of force the bottle can apply on Ross is pretty random, so it was kind of a hard stage to optimize too.
30
This is the last stage of the game, so I only have to worry about how many items I place and what I do with them. There were many ways to complete the stage with 3 items and one activation, and I purposefully picked the slowest one.

Extras

Possible improvement
If the last level I completed was level 7 instead of level 30, it would have saved time, seeing as that level is the longest one out of the first 15 and the inputs would end as soon as I completed building the contraption. I believe this trick would have saved about 10 seconds.

It's disappointing this isn't a copy of Android/iOS port, but it's better than nothing. Some strategies look like cheating because of improper items' mechanics porting. For example, you can't spam with a bellow's action in the official game, and its impact on the pig is much weaker. Nevertheless, Yes vote. It still looks cool! "v1" looks slower, but funny too because of the delay before a level is considered finished
TASing is like making a film: only the best takes are shown in the final movie.
