This is a TAS from The Lion King (SNES). This TAS will beat the game with simba up-side down using the RAABS code and as fast as theoredically possibe without using the geyser skip on Be Prepared (level 8).
(a reset is done on level 2 because it is impossible with our current knowledge so i reset as soon as i reach the impossible part)

nymx: Claiming for judging.
nymx: Welcome to our community, Shgofc! It’s clear from your thread comments that you're enjoying your TASing experience, and you're absolutely right—this type of gaming takes a lot of effort and dedication. Currently, we have a publication that surpasses your run.
Given that your goal is somewhat different, it could have been a candidate for consideration, but the feedback and votes from the audience don't really support it as a non-standard classification. The omission of the geyser skip, for example, doesn’t seem to add excitement to the run. As for the upside-down Simba code, it feels a bit repetitive after a while and doesn't add much to the overall experience. I did notice a few spots where "upside down Simba" appeared to have advantages for collision avoidance, but for an "Alternative" goal to be successful, we really need more positive feedback from the audience. Additionally, when comparing your run to the current top-tier one, you fall behind early on, and with the level of competition, it’s going to be hard to shave off those precious frames.
Overall, while it’s a solid effort for your first try, unfortunately, it doesn’t quite meet the mark for publication at this time.
Rejecting primarily for optimization.

Hi, I'm not one to complain about visual glitches in games, quite the opposite actually. But in this case, is it really a glitch, since it seems to come from a cheat code!? Moreover, what does it bring to the run? Does it provide a time save or something else worthwhile to exploit? Because if not, for me, it only amuses me for a few moments; I find it overused, and it even creates a sluggishness in the action that the game offers. Another point: at the end of the lava cave level, Symba has to wait a long time before being able to exit the level, and you remain still. Maybe there's a reason for that? But I think the platforms that appear on the lava geysers are scripted via a timer, and it would have been wise, so as not to lose the viewer's interest, to put on a show and finish this level right on time. I haven't checked if a run of this game has been submitted under these terms, but from what I remember, the use of cheat codes is prohibited unless it indicates its usefulness in the TAS (hidden difficulty, hidden levels...). I still commend your effort and wish you continued success in your TASing experiences.

https://tasvideos.org/Forum/Topics/26600 <-check the submission text here for what it is. This submission text doesn't describe why it wasn't used so I guess they just didn't bother. If the cheat code made the skip impossible they would have said so.

i dont know if ot is impossible, i never learned the new geyser skip so i decided tasing the NGS category instead where the old skip (the one i know and use on my RTA runs) is also banned so i technically dont lose time and keep the run perfect

yep, its a cheat code. if you go to options and pres "B, A, R, R, Y" you get into the level select what is pretty well-known but what most people dont know is that by going to the invencibily tab and pressing "R, A, A, B, S" simba gets up-side down. this makes that simba works completely diferently from the normal play. with level 7 and 3 getting much harder and level 2 actually impossible and before this tas level 8 was also thought to be impossible. also some tricks like glitch kills works differently what makes for another time difference. as for level 8 that has the waiting, it has what is known as "Geyser Skip" where you manipulate RNG to gets the left geyser always shoot up what saves a lot of cycles and time but i didnt learn how to make this skip so i decided running in a official category called "NGS" which means "No Geyser Skip" where all cycle skips are banned. sorry for making a lower quality TAS than the others on the site. i just wanted to share this cuz i knew that if i didnt TASed this no one else would. took me a lot of effort to do this since its pretty much unknown territory in the community and i never TASed this game before
