I don't believe retractions should be made intentionally, as the site has proven with two users prior on how to deal with this. Retraction should only be done, at least to my perspective as these:
  • The contents of the game is actually offensive in the terms of who it attacks being that based on real world situations, which only should typically go towards the unlicensed titles.
  • The run was unauthorized as it was submitted without their behalf (third party). Which is something we've seen this lead up happening to users being limited. (Obviously, once an actual authorized one is Published then that movie can be adjusted to make a new Submission as we allow transformations to the Publication.)
I wish I could write a bit more on point one, but to me that information is only meant to sit within Staff, and not be out in the Public. To point out the "how we've dealt with this" with the two users:
  • One of the users became anonymous and hopefully all information attached to that person is gone. Runs that they had as co-auth just removed them as an author.
  • And the other one was given the "WB Statement" where we still wanted to showcase the content, as that the provided best of that run, and hopefully can be obsoleted in due time, and also a way to showcase that a run of this game was done.
