Since no one else mentioned it, you might want to check out www.pandora.com if you havn't already. It's a little like radio, only that you decide what music to listen to.

Quite the metal forum, this one. Mainly listen to Opeth (there's just something about them) and Arkane Autocracy (A one-man-band by a guy I know, doing recordings in a cabin far from everything in the swedish countryside.). Not just metal though. I try to mix it up a little with some 80's pop songs, 60's rock, drum n bass and even plain old comedy. I think everyone here is a bit "off" on popular music today, because, well, maybe we just are. My last.fm profile for anyone interested.

Well it doesn't always seems to work how it supposed to, I fear. Try opening Laibach station and see what will this thing toss in there: all sorts of electroclash/futurepop/EBM/something dancey/whatever else but nothing in Laibach style. :D Still, it looks promising somehow.

Well, I wrote Cannibal Corpse, and it plays mostly death metal, some times a little bit of black or death/thrash, there's nothing wrong with that, so I didn't care to try anything else, if it doesn't work out the way you want to when you write down your favourite music, just skip it. :) I don't know what Laibach is, but maybe there's nothing else that sounds like it. ;D

LOL, nice one. %) Actually, this particular song is extremely nonrepresentative concerning the earlier Laibach output, which is mainly pure industrial to industrial rock — the style that spawned such bands as Rammstein; here's a 30-sec sample to illustrate what I mean (pay attention to both…uhm… his vocals and the background choire, as they sum up to something entirely pathetic!). BTW, have anybody checked out their music videos (especially for "Geburt Einer Nation")? That's the most hilarious shit I've ever seen in my life, honestly. Every single person with a decent sense of humour just cried while watching it, cause it's that, that pathetic and dumb.

I'm kinda echletic.. I like.. Old Rock songs (AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd), Psy Trance (1200 mics, Vibe Tribe, Astral Projection) and game songs (right now I'm almost dancing MM2 here). Also, remixed game songs are very nice (ocremix). But I can listen to a lot of songs without getting bored! Rap, Pop, Metal, etc..

I listen to basically anything...though I have been quite obsessed with this group called YMCK recently. www.ymck.net Check out their demos. 8bit greatness (and by saying that I mean genuine-sounding, very elaborate 8bit composition) topped with cute vocals. It's also good that they have the first album available in North America (not sure about Europe) and the second one coming soon also to NA.

A couple new songs up at the music page of my site, for those interested: http://jxq.skuzz.com/music.html The 2 new tracks are How It's Done and What's Up. Explicit lyrics on these tracks. I put this collection together to send it into a local college radio station that plays music by amateur artists. As I Write was already sent in. It was pretty neat to hear my own song on a real radio! Anyway, enjoy. Feel free to comment on any of the tracks, good or bad.

Progg is progressive music, it don't have to be rock. Most of it is from the time when the left wing was very strong and loads of hippies run around in Sweden. Now every one in Sweden is non-Socialists and evil. Some good songs: AB böna och be - Asta Kask (not really a progg-band but what the heck) Doin' the Omoralisk Schlagerfestival - Sillstryparn Balladen om Ho Chi Minh - Knutna Nävar

In some places it still does, unfortunately, yeah. Do you want to guess if people are trying to get into or out of those places?

Many Americans go to Cuba to study at university for free because they can't afford to get educated back home. And there are no real communist country...yet.

If you seriously want to continue discussing the merits of communism, I think we should make a new thread.

bump! New album of DeathSpell Omega - Paracletus - is awesome! As for me, I tasted almost all kinds of music & listened to it for a year & a half without pauses. Then i became tired & very few things now can impress me. They are:
Sega Tunes (Vectorman, X-Men 2) Contra Hard Corps OST Xoc - What's Pink and Sucks? DJ Receptor АукцЫон Oingo Boingo Metallica - St. Anger Megadeth (in lossless) DeathSpell Omega
Warning: When making decisions, I try to collect as much data as possible before actually deciding. I try to abstract away and see the principles behind real world events and people's opinions. I try to generalize them and turn into something clear and reusable. I hate depending on unpredictable and having to make lottery guesses. Any problem can be solved by systems thinking and acting.
