I was googling around and stumbled uppon a WinUAE hack with avi-output. Perhaps something useful? I'm not sure it's in development these days. The guy making it calls him self §ane and can be found at http://eab.abime.net/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=203 As the official development page doesn't seem to be there any more I googled around some more and found a working download: http://www.emuita.it/download.php?id=379 Using www.archive.org way back in time machine I atleast found out what the last source package was called. Didn't find anything on google though. :( WinUAE0.8.17r2[avi][src].zip http://web.archive.org/web/20011020062737/http://www.agnus.org.uk/WinUAE-AVI/#Download Use the above link to see what the old page looked like. Perhaps we should try the official (Win)UAE and check if there is possibility to implant re-recording? I think it has recording and avi output now days atleast.

Hmm... http://recordedamigagames.ath.cx/modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=3#recording1 I haven't used WinUAE in a long time. But these guys seems to be making speedruns already. Perhaps we could just add re-recording?

output recording is very different from input recording ; look at epsx for instance. does it have savestates ? other stuff needed for tas ? another, more advanced, emulator waiting for an update to be able to do tas on it is gens(+), since it has sms and gg. I believe that there are more console fans on those forums, but computers, why not some day ? good coders are rare and busy nowadays ^^;;

If I remember correctly, WinUAE IS the most advanced emulator for Amiga, and a very well developed emulator overall. It would be surprising if it didn't have the savestates, wouldn't it?

WinUAE has had builtin AVI output for a long time now, and it also supports savestates (though I believe it has some trouble if you're emulating attached hard disk drives). It does not, however, support input recordings.

Would it be a big task to implant that? *winks at our coders*

A new version of the Amiga emulator Winuae have been released. In this version is input recordings inplented :) But I have already tried it. It's still in WIP and seem to be a bit buggy. But Tony Willen (the programmer) have recently posted in their forum, that he will release a new version soon (v1.3.1). The current version is 1.3.0 and can be downloaded from http://www.winuae.net
