does SNES9x have a snapshot feature? or, if it doesnt, are there any emulators that play SNES games that do (and you can still disable layers)? thank you in advance for any help given.

It does, f12 (by default, can be configured in snes9xI) snaps, and works with layer disabling, but only seemingly can save to png. Zsnes also can snapshop images with a user defined key (f1 is default, which brings up a menu with several options, one being snapshot), and can save as either png or bmp.
