...allow me to export some raw image sequences of these movies? Y'know, for use with animated gifs or alterations post-publish? I use virtual dub for that and it doesn't seem to like the h264 codec. I'm using VLC now (as well as BS, WMP, Winamp, and others) and none seem to be able to convert it into a format that Virtual Dub likes or export it into image sequences themselves. Any tips? Oh, and while I'm asking... an all purpose video format convertor would be cool too... I'd like to do the same thing with .mov's which Virtual Dub ALSO doesn't like. Thanks.

Why not just process them yourself from the emulator? They'd be of higher quality that way anyways.

Most of these emulators have raw video output, you just have to break it on a particular boundry and pass it to some raw bitmap program. Edit: mencoder can do the boundry and image conversion BTW.

it's included in ffdshow... just look at the end of the options. you can set the range, the export type (jpeg, png...) ; powerful and most chances are that you already have it if you're watching the movies here...
