If you're a person who makes Fabians, you don't belong to this site. This site is for NATE runners only!

There's no point in this discussion... We use modified emus and other stuff to make the movies - Tool-assisted Although they're fast, our target is entertaining, not speed - speedruns (not time attacks) So, there's no reason to change the definition...
"Genuine self-esteem, however, consists not of causeless feelings, but of certain knowledge about yourself. It rests on the conviction that you — by your choices, effort and actions — have made yourself into the kind of person able to deal with reality. It is the conviction — based on the evidence of your own volitional functioning — that you are fundamentally able to succeed in life and, therefore, are deserving of that success." - Onkar Ghate

Zurreco, there's no need to discriminate. Your stupid idea is just as valid as the other much better ones that have been suggested, and the best one that has been selected (this being "Fabian").

Welcome to the off topic forums! If we don't focus on speed, then logic permits that we don't call our movies 'speedruns'. Also, it seems that there are more people that dislike the term "TAS" rather than those who like it. Those who like it are too weak to accept NATE runs into their lives. edit: This isn't to bother Nate; if anything, it is to glorify him. Oh well. @Fabian: A person that makes a Fabian is a Fabersaurus.

'CHEAT' probaby has the most logic behind it I'd say. I still have no idea on what a fabian even stands for.

I suppose the person who makes Fabians is the mother of Fabians. edit:

Atma, Bisqwit, It seems you might need to reread this topic to fully grasp its content. Thanks.

Both TAS and NATE are pejorative terms by their very ethnocentricity. How can we justify using an arbitrary English acronym? Rap and Fabians are the only transatlantic languages.

Speaking of snakes, did anyone catch the trailer for that Snakes on a Plane movie with Samuel L Jackson? Man does that sound like it's going to be awesome or what!

The only bad thing I can possibly think of about Snakes On A Plane is that the movie didn't come out fifteen or twenty years ago. If it had, they would have made an old school game out of it and someone could make a Fabian for it. It'll be years before an emulator comes along that can make Fabians for modern consoles!

That's so odd that Samuel L. Jackson's going to be in a movie.

xebra, yeah I know that kind of sucks. It'd be wicked cool to be Samuel L Jackson, if only in a game.

A "Platinum Barrio" is a movie made using emulator tools like slowdown and rerecords. Also, a platinum barrio would be a spanish ghetto/slum made entirely of an expensive metal. This is win-win!
