Okay, I am done with improving some other levels from 31 up to 45 . LLCoolDave will hex edit this levels and the levels with a slower 'door' at the end into the new movie. Here are the improvements for each level from the current version (level 1-61) so far: 14: 4 seconds 30: 1 second 31: 1 second 34: 1 second 36: 3 seconds 37: 6 seconds 39: 6 seconds 40: 1 second Tomorrow I'll see what I can improve from level 45-61(+) :) . Hm, I agree that the run would be boring to watch if you don't know how crazy some strats are even now in the earlier levels. ..But trying to get the best possible solution for every level is fun!

http://thps3.net/pushover_wip.zip This contains the .smv with the levels 1-40 being improved. About 1/3 of the levels had to be redone, half of that was from Burning Death's discoveries, the rest was improving the end door, as walking from the left or holding against a stopper that's on the right side of the door triggers an extra motion causing about 10 frames delay. (This, however, tends to vary. In fact, there seem to be many random frame counts near the end of most levels. Therefore, I can't guarantee that all levels have been exited as fast as possible, although I'm fairly certain that I did my best. This game has a strange engine when it comes down to frames) This video desyncs after level 51. Don't worry, that WILL be fixed once the 4x levels have been improved (Stupid door weirdness + possible better routes), but as strange as it might sound, this level sometimes worked and sometimes stopped working again in the progress of hexediting in some of the older levels. Except for #17 this is the only one that has ever desynced for me. All in all I was able to improve the old version by 1136 in those first 40 levels, which is a whole lot for such a game. I knew that I wouldn't get the later levels perfect, but I didn't think I almost made 19 seconds of mistakes in the mostly straight forward first 40 levels. Hehe, thank you, Burning Death.

I am back to Push-Over and improved the remaining levels up to level 60 with some more crazy strats ;) : Level 46 = 9 seconds(!) Level 47 = 2 seconds Level 51 = 3 seconds Level 53 = 6 frames Level 54 = 5 seconds Level 58 = 2 seconds ..and some levels with a faster door finish which results in some more frames improvement. I don't have the will and time to improve the actual speed run, so you have to wait for LLCoolDave to improve his version, hehe.

LLCoolDave, Burning Death, any hope any of you take on that project and finish the game some day ? even if it never gets published, I'd be more than happy to watch it, even if I have to encode it myself. hope I didn't scare you :o (sorry for the necromancy summoning >_>;;; )

I have some very good news for all Pushover fans out there :D! I've started working again at this TAS after a one year break. That's not all, because I've just finished planning the fastest solution for level 100, the last level. I've spend A LOT of time for the last levels because they are very complex, long and ..of course.. with a dozen different solution possibilities. For example level 96 has driven me crazy, after 5 hours I am still not 100% sure if it can't go a second faster. Tomorrow I'll start to record the game from reset and try to save some more frames that LLCoolDave has lost in some levels. I've estimated a final time between 84-85min.

just found out this fan site : http://nintendoforever.free.fr/SNes/PushOver/PushOver_index.php it include a full solution (with screenshots) of the game, yeah in french sorry (I could help translate those), but you could gather ideas from there. or better, get the znes movies the author ran (live) of the levels. pal (E) version. some solutions are really interesting. since I had the (original) atari st version (bought in 92 >_<), I did not know that the 91st level was different on snes, and so tricky to solve (capture running tumblers on the fly). but yeah, some levels have many solutions, hard to minimize time.

Thanks, cool site :) . I've noticed that level 98 is also 1 field (to place dominoes) bigger in the DOS version and has another starting position (the platform above the trigger). Catching tumbling tumblers again...hehe you will be surprised how I've used this trick in another level too ;) . Sorry but I haven't started the final TAS yet, tomorrow I will :) .

Hi, there is an english FAQ with solutions for every puzzle over here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/game/918504.html I just watched into your zsnes movies, guess I have the wrong version (1.42 or 1.36 doesn't work) because it desynched after a while for me :( . What version have you used to record your runs? Hm I have to test the european version because the timer runs 20% faster than realtime/EU version in the NTSC version. Hm, looks like this game was orginally programmed for europe only?

And thanks to kartseven (one of the best karter (smk) in the world) who make the screenshots and the text. I can't answer for the emulator cause it's his solution. I knew that he was doing run so i tell him to make screenshots and text instead of running just one time. All is complete on gamefaqs but it's often better with screen, that's why i want translation. I want something like a notepad file with just. Level 11: translation level 11 level 13 translation level 13 ... I try to make multi-language solutions when it's a good solution or when it is a rare solution on the web. Somebody is translating Zelda 3. http://nintendoforever.free.fr/SNes/Zelda3/Zelda3_soluce/zzang_Zelda3_prologue.php It's the prologue from this Problem is that it's a long work and it's shorter to translate games like push-over or lemmings

Current status: Level 01-50 re-done :). I improved about 5-6 levels by some frames to 2 seconds. YES, I've also got the chance to add a glitch to save time, keep level 45 in your mind ;) .

Vault exists, so there's hope yet for this game. However, in doing some levels, mysteriously I'm getting slower times than videos I've watched, despite taking the exact same route. Is there something obvious that I'm missing here, such as a Run button, or speed settings which I haven't found?

Possibly just more accurate emulators resulting in more lag? That happened when Super Metroid went from SNES9X to lsnses/Bizhawk.
