So far I have these in my N64 collection: (I am doing this from memory, so the name might not be 100% correct) Mario 64, Beatle Adventure Racing Wave Race 64 Mario Kart 64 Blast Corp Star Fox 64 Mortal Kombat Trilogy Killer Instinct Gold Crusin' USA Crusin' World Yoshi Island 64 Bust A Move (can't remember which version, allows 4 players) I heard that EB/GameStop is about to discontinue carrying N64 games, they will probably sell most of them really cheap. I would like to get your opinions on what the best N64 games to play/own. (yup, I want to get a nice list and then shop for them before they are gone). Thank you!

My all-time favorite N64 game is Banjo Kazooie.. It's one of the loveliest games ever made. You might also consider to get hold of its successor Banjo Tooie which I never owned and is not as great imo, but oh well... If you like Mario Kart you may also want to get Diddy Kong Racing. Well, duh... not actually insider tips or rare ware (no pun intended, reaally :P), but nevermind

The only games I have that aren't on the list are Turok 2 (don't get that), F-Zero X (kind of neat), and Goldeneye (definitely get that).

Since you seem to enjoy racing titles, I'm going to suggest San Francisco Rush 2049. Personally I grew bored of the actual racing parts, but the stunt mode is outstanding. Also, I'm going to mention Mischief Makers for the whole Treasure Can Do No Wrong aspect. Some of the games mentioned in this and previous posts make use of the memory expansion pak for the system, so you might need to hunt down one of those too.
I like my "thank you"s in monetary form.

I like Donkey Kong 64 (even though Super Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie are better if you compare games of the same genre). My list: 1. Super Mario 64 2. Mario Kart 64 3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Besides the ones already mentioned, I would add: Conker's Bad Fur Day Yoshi's Story (it's a lovely game despite what anyone says) Blast Corps Starfox 64 (in Europe it's called Lylat Wars) Pilotwings 64 I've also heard good things about Paper Mario but I haven't played it at all so I can't really tell.

You could try Jet Force Gemini, because it has shooting and jumping! Or you could get Super Smash Brothers and Mario Party! (or Super Mario Brothers and Smash Party, i don't know)

I never could like Jet Force Gemini because the controls lagged behind like half a second or more. In other words, you press a button, then you have to wait a while before anything happens in-game. I really wanted to play the game, but that stupid thing made it unplayable. Turok 2 also had the same problem. (I never had that problem with any other games, so don't blame my TV setup).

Now, I have a pretty good list of games to shop for. If you have more good games to recommend, please put them down here. Thank you everyone!

I can't believe the N64 is this old! No one mentioned Goldeneye and Perfect Dark? I played those games both single player and multiplayer for thousands of hours combined and I've never been a huge fan of FPS games. Just those two! You can't deny that they're classics and they'll be cheap cartridges, too. Nintendo way over produced those games, at least in North America, so there are plenty to go around. I'm positive I've seen new copies of Perfect Dark for just $5 somewhat recently. If they do a bin type of deal then make sure you look for copies of Paper Mario in the bin. Last time I checked, Gamestop was selling used copies of PM for $40. And every other N64 game, in stock or not, was going for $1-20. So basically Gamestop is saying that PM is the only rare N64 game. I bet Gamestop is thinking about the Wii's virtual console. They probably don't want to be stuck holding used game X for $Y when people can add it to their Wii collection for ~= $Y.

Yeah, they are probably trying to think ahead of the game. If Wii is really as good as they promised, There's really no need to own any of the supported virtual console.

How about Carmageddon? Not that I played it for N64, but it's fun for PC. :) Also.. Wasn't there a Wipeout game for N64? Might be worth a look.

They're getting rid of their PlayStation games too.
