I wonder if it's possible to change the resolution of Gens (Linux) somehow. Setting it to double-size sure gets the double original size, but that's not enough to cover the TV. Selecting fullscreen is not an option since that places half of Gens on my monitor and the other half on the TV (TwinView). Any ideas on this?

I haven't used gens on linux yet, so I'm just throwing around ideas. you could ask your window-manager to force gens into the specified size and position. If your window manager supports it, and gens can handle being pushed around, this might be the easiest option. or you could patch Gens to be xinerama-aware. do you need your usual monitor while using gens? If you restart the x server with a different konfiguration, you can switch off twin view, and use fullscreen mode just on your tv. At least with the nvidia drivers, you can also add a fullscreen mode that'll only use the second monitor. That reduces the need to restart x to a simple mode change.

I've tried to force it to a new size. The window gets bigger, but not the picture from the game. The space is just filled with black and the game is put in the upper left corner. Know how to set the xorg.conf to only use the second monitor in fullscreen?

well, read the documentation of your video driver. In case of nvidia, use the MetaModes-Setting. google retrieved the manual: http://lists.suse.com/archive/suse-linux-e/2001-Jun/att-3012/01-TWINVIEW_README for an ATI card: I've never done it (I don't use the TV out on my notebook), but I know it's possible. hunt down the docs and read them.
