[8:08pm] msikma: Akanerva. That sounds like a next-generation Arkanoid clone.
Akanerva is probably one of the greatest names ever. When I think about it, I can't help but imagine that it could very well be the name of a next-generation Arkanoid clone. So what kind of game do you think that "Akanerva" could be the name of?

When I hear "Akanerva" I think of Neon Genesis Evangelion and the red NERV logo I've seen on T-shirts.

It reminds me of Minerva McGonagall from Harry Potter. Awesome. Quite.

Cool name indeed. Sounds like an anime character's name or it could be the name of some skin moisturizer...

uhh-ohh-hoh-hah-ehheh-hah (A clever insult (oxymoron?) towards the English way of writing how something is supposedly pronounced. No, it's not the real pronounciation.) It's pronounced "aa kanerva" :) http://www.mikropuhe.com/demo.asp?teksti=aa+kanerva&asetukset=0

Well, I read "Akanerva" as "ahkuh-nervuh" or "ackin-ervuh" And "Akanerva" doesn't bring much of anything to mind makes me think of many different things. So far I've thought of the dog from Conquest of the Crystal Palace, a puzzle-journey game (like something from the Myst series), a medicine name (pain-killer, "Gets rid of your aches by affecting the nerves, it's Aka-nerva!), and a song title (some really slow, soothing, relaxing sort of music [nerva=nirvana], or high-energy puck-rock [ka, er, va are strong syllables]. Could be a band name, too) So Akanerva is a dog, a puzzle-game, a pain-killer, or music.
That's what she said!
