i dont like the fact that the recording shortcut keys are permanently bound to specific keys / key combinations. shift +F# is a horrible way to save state, especially when you use WASD to move. i was wondering if there are any programming-savvy people out there *cough* blip *cough* that could edit an open-source snes9x to have a binding option for this. i saw this kind of editing stuff in the famtasia 60 fps hack thread, so i figured it was a good idea and just might be possible.

Yes there are, and those are already working at snes9x. Your need is already known to the snes9x team, and keyboard reassigning is being worked on. What you need to understand is that it takes time - free time of these people.

i completely understand that they are using their free time and are doing it out of the goodness of their heart. thats great that its being worked on. good luck guys. i saw what was done with famtasia, and i was extreemly impressed. i kno wi'll see the same results here again.
