Write down the 10 movies you like best. If 10 is too much, pick less. If you don't know which ones you like best, just write down 10 movies you like. (Note: this isn't about TASes or speedruns, but regular movies.) Edit: It seems 10 movies might a too little (at least for some people), and if you like more than 10 certain movies a lot, then why shouldn't you post them? (people were already doing this anyway :P ) So basically, list the movies you really like. If your list is very long, it would be better to put them in order from best to least best, since I don't think a list of 50 movies will be very informative otherwise.

The Shawshank Redemption Star Wars 5, 4 and 6 (in that order) Memento Conan the Barbarian The Usual Suspects Pulp Fiction Equilibrium Snatch EDIT: Forrest Gump. Thanks Bablo. That's all that comes to mind. The Shawshank Redemption is easily the best movie I've ever seen. With the other movies the order isn't set in stone, I just wrote what came to mind.

From the top of my mind (and my HDD), in no particular order: Cube (this movie depicts one of the most carefully and elaborated atmospheres ever created in a movie); Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (I don't have much to say on this one, but it sure is quite educating, in many senses); Tetsuo / The Ironman (everybody must watch this… at least once); Eraserhead (probably the scariest movie I ever saw); Interstate 60 (while looking a bit casual, this movie actually is incredibly… hmm… wise); Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (was one of my favourite movies when I was a kid); The Thing (a rather underrated movie, though really impressive in almost every aspect); The Matrix trilogy + Animatrix (not very original in its idea and symbolism, but very good nonetheless); Monty Python and the Holy Grail (probably the funniest movie I ever saw); Once Upon a Time in America (a movie that is spectacular in one aspect: you will notice new details each time you watch it, a very rare quality); Terminator 2 (thanks for reminding, atro city; this is one damn good action movie). As for the anime, if it even counts: Neon Genesis Evangelion / The End of Evangelion (I don't think a simple description would do it any justice); Princess Mononoke (touching and beautiful, though it is a common description for any of Miyazaki's movies); Spring and Chaos ("a unique biographical sketch of the life of the great modern Japanese poet Kenji Miyazawa"); Dead Leaves (best action movie ever!); Azumanga Daioh (incredibly funny); Now and Then, Here and There (I almost wept over the last two episodes; very emotionally intense); Excel Saga (another totally hilarious anime, a must for everyone). [Another space intentionally left blank].

Is Primer any good? I haven't seen it, but the rest of those movies were also in my list. Dark Fulgore: Some movies in your list really surprise me.

Bill and Ted's is okay. Not something I'd put in my top ten, but it's not as bad as Daredevil, Hulk, or just about any movie with The Rock. EDIT: Now I would add Matrix Reloaded to the list of not so great movies Dark Fulgore put up as well, but that's mainly because I was so disappointed by it in comparison to the first.

Baxter> Is Primer any good? I haven't seen it, but the rest of those movies were also in my list. Well, it wouldn't be in my top-movies list if it wasn't any good, now would it. :P Seriously though, if you like complicated storylines and unpredictable scripts, Primer is a real gem.
