i have all of the mega man songs (MM1 through X3) in midi form. either PM me, or go find a recording program. there is a site out there that has an open submission section for games. people send in their midi versions of the songs, and the most accurate ones are published. if i find the url, ill post it here.

But MIDI is completely different thing from NSF and SPC. NSF and SPC are copies of the original songs. MIDI are imitations of the original songs.

One possible way is to use WINAMP. You'll need two plug-ins, one to allow WINAMP to play NSF files, and the other to record the output in MP3 format. Let me get some links for you... EDIT: OK! WINAMP, of course is at winamp.com NSF plugins are available at Zophar's Domain along with lots of NSF files. I use the "Nosefart" plug-in, but there are many choices. The output plug-in can be gotten from the WINAMP site. There are many choices. I use Justin Frankel's version. Now all you do is select the Output plug-in from the Plug-in menu, configure it so you know where the new file will be created, and play the NSF file. You won't hear anything but you will creating an MP3 of the output instead. This works with other similar WINAMP plugins, for those who have lots of SPC or GYM files.

Well, Winamp actually comes with a diskwriter plugin (it's under the output section of plugins), so you can convert to wav off the bat. You can get the audio plugins from zophar.net, but since you listen to the nsf/spc files anyway, you probably know about that. Then, since you say you're putting it on cd, the wav files should be enough.

I'd use diskwriter and Lame with RazorLame frontend. Never was satisfied with the results of mp3 recordning WA plugins.
