…but nobody cares about in-game time in Kururin games, and there are already great quality TASes published for them that aim for real time, why the hell would you just go and change that now?

human records go by in-level time, the TAS goes for game completion time, the two aren’t comparable because taking damage saves time in game completion but not in in-level time they’re two different things, so if you’re trying to improve the TAS by not taking damage you’ll only lose time

that’s a really amazing improvement! I would’ve never expected an improvement to come from B1, and it looks awesome to boot

actually I think this would work really well using skype. Just have both players run the same movie and tell each other there inputs. I'd be interested in trying a street fighter match that way.
did that ever happen? :P if you were to do such a match with SFIV, I’d be interested in watching it

the verification movie is the smallest of the problems, staff will decide what to do after reading people’s opinions, if you close the topic it will go nowhere I’m gonna ask my friend Stacy to see if something can be done about creating a verification movie

so it’s basically save corruption… I have no idea what to vote Suspend is a common feature found in other games (Castlevania having glitched runs thanks to it), can this thing be done in other games, or could suspend be glitched better in this game? edit: I’m guessing you can’t suspend right after beating the final boss, so that you just had to glitch-load to finish the game?

…that sounds weird as hell how can you even save right before the last hit of the final boss? what kind of saving system does this game have? I would say that that’s just loading a save and normally beating the game, but for whatever reason File 2 gets completed instead… can you explain better

you still haven’t explained what happens… all I understand is that you’re quitting to main menù right after starting a new game, then load back File 2, but for some reason you’re at the last boss why are you there?

http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/3991398689112677 Here's proof that the Starfy run's first file can be cleared and still have the glitch work. Edit: So yea, the first file can be gone for all I care. I just needed to unlock the last boss.
you still haven’t explained what the fuck is going on in that movie… I doubt anybody’s understood it

I liked it, having followed DKR action recently, and was surprised by the fact that you can use the airplane (human speedruns were still doing it with a car last I checked) but this movie breaks the rules :\

It has been made abundantly clear that that isn't an option.

It bothers me too. Not necessarily so much because he might be right, but people who make comments along the line of 'this is improvable' and do not suggest in what way deserve to be shot.
I took it as meaning “your route is so completely wrong I won’t even get into explaining how to improve it” not that I know anything about routeplanning in this game

As to why it is a moon, it is because it does not fit the Vault. But then again, it doesn't fit Moons either. It just doesn't fit in with the site rules of today, but there isn't a better designation than moon.
can’t you just delete it from the site?

I love how TAS completely obliterates this game, I voted yes but zggzdydp’s comment bothers me lol by the way, there was a single instance in which I found the darkness annoying (don’t remember where), but even then, I’m all for abusing it as much as possible and cutting down the time, using it in some places and not others just looks inconsistent and stupid, and I mostly hate speed/entertainment trade-offs

agreed, the best course of action would’ve been to optimize the movie in order to reduce that boring period of time, then it might’ve been publishable as a star but nobody gives a shit about optimization on this site, right?

If the save file on a real cartridge becomes corrupted in such a manner, is there a way to reset or empty it so that you will be able to run the game?
are you specifically asking about GB games? most consoles have a combination of button presses to erase save data, though I’m not sure if the GB does I agree with “Executes Arbitrary Code” btw
