The sub disappears if you beat BitFS first.
that’s funny actually I have a noob question about DDD too: when does the water go back to reveal BitFS? I think it happened when you collected the sub star, but if so why not leave that star for last?

BTW, how did you collect that star in Tall, Tall Mountain and fall to your death before saving? I thought Mario would stand on the sky in that case. Also, how were you able to attack on the shell in Tiny, Huge Island?
there are a few places where you can fall to the bottom of the level and be brought back up on the surface (I think it requires water, the most famous example is on WF); so basically they went down enough to trigger the “falling OoB death” thing but actually used that weird water-surface glitch to come back up and collect the star after triggering the death screen the shell glitch is just jumping against the level’s border and somehow falling into water, idk lol

it’s not often you can say you’ve watched a 1 hour 20 minutes long TAS, and were never bored by it amazing job, and I can’t wait for the Japanese to finish v2 in 6 or so years :)

I am strongly against including this. It's a time vs. entertainment tradeoff and shouldn't be included. The Banjo speedrunning community of SRL/SDA are very interested in gametime of this new any%, and this glitch where you beat the game through the intro screen doesn't allow for that.
you know, it shouldn’t be that hard to do a RAM search for the game timer’s value and just write in the description of the movie what the final time is; it’s not like you need a graphic in the game to tell you your time when you have things like TAS edit: I think I misunderstood you, you meant that since the RTA community won’t be using the glitch, they don’t want TAS to use it either so they can compare?

I liked how every part was a little different and many novel camera angles were used for castle BLJs. It will take some analysis; I find it hard to say from looking whether some of the parts not already mentioned are faster/slower/the same. The answer is interesting regardless because of how many changes there were from what I've come to expect in a 0 star.
I agree, they’ve changed stuff up a lot, and even if it looks less optimized it looks novel and is entertaining it’s as if they’ve free-run parts where they could go slower and still make it in the same amount of frames @SP: how many frames does removing a PBLJ save? 2? then 7 were all in the BitFS WKs? edit: btw, has anyone else noticed the fact that entering BitFS has no sound? how come?

“Yes, sub 41. Let the jokes begin.” what’s that about? and how does luck play a part in this star? the way Wiggler moves at the beginning?

there are multiple known improvements that haven’t been implemented, restarting the run continuously was the Japs’ idea and we’ve seen where that ends up to, Nahoc/David/Jeremia just want to get a 120 run done I’d imagine the run could be finished somewhere within February next year…

a good way I use to check whether what you’ve found is what you’re looking for is freezing the value, in this case you could freeze X position in a spot so that when you tried to move you wouldn’t be able to, if you are then that address isn’t X in DeSmuME you can add cheats massively to every address in the Search list (highlight them, click Add Cheat, hold down Enter key), then you can delete the cheats in bunches until your character is able to move again, that’s another way of narrowing it down

Entertainment is subjective though. I'm far less impressed by something that isn't a portrayal of the original. It's like using a hacked version of a game that allows certain tricks to be performed that normally can't be done in the original. Seeing tricks performed based on known limitations is far more entertaining and impressive than bypassing limitations in order to perform them in my opinion.
I agree, that’s the whole point of TASing
