aren’t we banning them already? older versions of DeSmuME aren’t accepted anymore, I thought… but I guess there, you have bigger changes than simple lag :/

I think I’d much rather see a Lily-less run. is this possible? there are other movies which don’t follow the “end of input” logic for entertainment reasons, and this should be one of them

does this game have no acceleration? it’s so ugly when a TASer just runs against walls while jumping up/falling down platforms… I usually do left-right retarded motion at least, simply pressing against the wall looks really bad to me anyway I’ll vote after I’ve finished watching the older run on nico edit: halfway through and the run looks fantastic, even though there are many moments of slow down due to enemies I’ll believe they’re unavoidable magnificent run, can’t vote anything but yes :)

020902D8 this might be the RNG… I’ve tested only the first boss, and while cheating the adress’s value does make the boss repeat the same move, it seems to be HP-based, as the same value will make it do different moves depending on its HP and you might know this already, but the boss moves to Sonic’s position before deciding what to do next, so I guess it’s faster to keep Sonic under the boss

I’m happy to see you’re motivated to keep restarting the run to bring it to its maximum optimization :) looking forward to it, DKC easily makes for some of the best TASes in my opinion before asking this question I went to the Game Resources page, but it wasn’t very helpful in explaining how these work… Jumproll: how does this work? the page only explain what happens visually, but I see that myself Roll in midair: this is explained better, but I don’t remember the above JP TAS to have Diddy invincible to do this trick… I’ll check again / edit: ok it actually does happen, even though it’s long before the double midair roll, weird stuff btw that page says the weird rolling that’s become normal to do whenever possible isn’t faster than roll-jumping in most occasions… that sounds wrong seeing as how it’s abused

can someone explain how he enters the door while swimming? O_o doesn’t that mean it’s actually possible with perfect position?
He edited his position with MHS to be out of the water for one frame, and be in front of the door the next frame.
oh >_>

since it’s irrelevant whatever else the password does because the game ends with it (it would’ve mattered if you cheated it to go to Ch17 and still got the upgrades from the pwd), I don’t find that to matter at all but that’s my opinion

Voted no for use of a password. It's funny, but doesn't fit the guidelines here.
The password isn't supposed to warp you to the credits. It's only possible for it to warp you to the credits by entering it on a very specific frame. That's why it's a glitch, not a cheat.
It's still a password, and therefore, still a cheat.
it’s not a cheat if you use it in an unintended way… if you glitch a password to do absolutely nothing, would it still be cheating to use it? I don’t think so, I think it’d just be pointless
