We can't quite judge that yet because we don't have a route. The useful thing would be to be able to get KoRL around for shard collecting. But it takes some time to get and using it takes around the same time as a superswim. And even then, most of the warps don't go to the correct island, so you would still need to superswim some way. It is still within the realm of possibility, but I don't thing so.

Let's not get into tuner. It's not working, and probably will never work correctly. Let's stick to current TAS things. I say screw forest water, but we need to realize that skipping anything and doing things out of order will always have many complications.

Umm, idk? Hasn't happened yet. Doesn't vba support rr?

Faster in several places. A big one now is entering dri. Without tuner, you need to get the messenger bag and watch the whole intro inside the room. It makes zombie hovers suck too. I would say atleast 10 minutes, just for small optimizations as well. Green ting would be nice too.

Remember, you can't do ghost ship before ff1, because you need KoRL to open the ghost ship chart. On route 1, you could do forest water light arrow skip later. Also, it may be possible to dive with letting water out of a bottle. Perhaps that could be used with forest water to save time unloading. Just a bag dive. And on route 1, you didnt subtract time saved over fw bk skip on the 4.5 number and that seems a little biased. And you don't include the time on route 3 for the second trip to dri. Another thing to consider is entering forbidden woods. If it is done before drc, korl will take you back to dri if you try to get on. You would need to use the normal way in. This means atleast another wind change.

That means no skipping BK in Forbidden Woods, correct. But this is not a 100% sure decision of course. Nothing is decided yet.

Ah, I didn't remember you in the chat. I was too busy finding crap with storage. I still like my method better :P. Looks so much cooler. In other news, I think we have decided not to use forest water. Too much of a pain, and getting Rang may save time later. Rang saves time over Forest Water for light arrow skip anyways.

If you are talking about Bomb Shop CS skip, I'm afraid you are mistaken. You may have been pushing it, but I never heard about it. I was in Cosmo's stream when he said that there should be a skip or something, thats when I found my method. Then pretty much the next day Klyde found the ledgeclip.

When I said DRC looking nice, I meant using the pots for hearts. That is good. If you want to do Keese, then thats not looking too nice. With the BK Skip storage, it needs to be after the fight in the room with the chest. Otherwise you store the CS of the chest appearing. I know we can get atleast 20 mins of stuff. I'm just not sure we can get exactly 20 mins of stuff. Remember, I'm not working on a TAS from the beginning right now. There is so much routing and discovery that I don't want a 3rd, 4th, 5th..... test TAS. It's not worth it. I mean, it just takes one question to save so much time. For example, the bomb shop CS skip. I think Cosmo just said that there had to be a way to skip the CS and then we looked into it. That lead to the clip into the ship and canceling CS's with Pirate Password storage and with KoRL texts. Then Mugg got FWless Cabana Deed skip. So I may do another test TAS soon, maybe in a week. But a complete TAS will be a long time. I mean a LONG time from now.

I would say that the forest water should be timed to ~50 frames. Thats just so it would seem optimized. Of course 1 frame would be nice, but I just can't do that. I'm kind of interested in how you expect to get rupees for the Sail. Luckily, we got DRC tunerless to work out great. Since we have bombs and leaf, we will be able to bomb drop on a pot. Unless Mugg decides to take a different route and use a Keese heart drop. That is going to be a pain as well. I'll start working on that superswim speed variable stuff in about a week. Not at home so I don't have access to Dolphin. Skipping the FW BK saves a lot of time. Even if we get to the chest with the forest water with 10 seconds left, I would be happy. Hell, as long as it isn't early I'll be excited.

Okay, I haven't played TS2 in forever and I'm not planning on TASing the full game. I'll just TAS Siberia. Here's my WIP. Link to video

Honestly, I don't see a SS TAS in the near future. Not only is motionplus not supported, but optimizing motionplus seems ridiculous. As is the case with TWW right now, stuff is still being found and many small time-savers are all over. It's not late enough for a Skyward Sword TAS. Give it some time. Also, I don't see Wii MotionPlus recording as too big of a priority for Dolphin, so this could be a while.

Are you sure that is possible? Doesn't seem so to me.
You underestimate the power of leaf pumping.

Look at my youtube page, I have a couple old WIPs. Right now there are no current WIPs cuz of the lack of a route. Still a bunch of new glitches being found and a WIP at this point seems pointless.

Thanks Klyde, this saves so much time. I hate that damn CS. Also, I hope cancelling door transitions and being able to walk through walls proves helpful somewhere. It could save some time with deed skip if you are on windfall/outset before cabana and the forest water lines up right. This would skip having to hookshot to the chest and clipping in. If we somehow beat Jalhalla without power bracelets, this would definitely help the chances of skipping power bracelets over all for low%. I really hope it manages to get into Ice Ring isle. If you don't need F/I arrows for anything else, this would allow for F/I arrow skip. Actually, idk if skipping F/I arrows would be lower% as you still have arrows on the main screen. Once again more % definitions not being clearly defined.

For the examples of bad game choices, many (if not all) have a previous submission that didn't turn out well. Most of those games are immensely/overly long, or have some off putting element. Bad music and visuals combined with not too much action make for a bad game. If you want to, you could check out the submissions for the examples of bad game choices. Some have some explanation on the submission as to why they were rejected. Or you could download the movie and watch it yourself. Really, it's up to you to determine if it is up to "TASVideos quality".

It was interesting, but I didn't find it all too entertaining. It just seemed to get too repetitive. The levels seemed pretty bland for most of the game, continually running to the right and freezing a boss and continually hitting it with the same move. I have to vote no, this game just didn't do it for me.

Very interesting. Started out kinda meh-ish, but sped up really fast. Looks really good, maybe some improvements, but as I don't know the game it looks really good. Really love going through walls. Great job, Yes!

Nah, not really. I'll get it off. I would enjoy watching a TAS of all the non-identical games. Well not enjoy watching. I would be interested.

Bad game choices aren't on there. Atleast ones that have been submitted.

With OoT, ZFG continually runs so much that it's crazy. You can't expect an OoT TAS to have gigantic differences when runners already do frame-precise tricks. The Zelda Speedrunning community is both RTA and TAS, so all tricks that are known to TASers, are known to everyone.

Yeah, iirc, you can use a similar warp like the one to the tower, and you won't crash and you will get the medallion. All this warp stuff is a real headache.

Looking at some rollergames videos, it may not be overly boring. Super-human gameplay is what TASes are about, right? If there were pretty much any good glitches, it may stand a chance on the workbench, but idk about actual publishing. It may just get repetitive.
