The one that MWL posted works perfectly fine here, at least until it loads up the second segment and does some random things, don't know if that was intentional or not.

Is this going to be a full game run, or what? I watched it, and it stopped right after the sixth emerald. I think it'll be interesting to see someone go through the rest of the game as Super Sonic, if it's possible in THIS game.
There are only 6 emeralds in Sonic 1, and no super sonic Edit: Which I guess has already been said

This would be one run i'd like to see, i loved this game as a kid. Good Luck with it and if I think of any tips, i'll tell you. This was also released on the SNES, I don't know any differences apart from I think it had passwords every level instead of every section of the game. (i think)

The run works perfectly fine here. Have you set the input settings to include the raw data option?

Here.
Thanks bobxp: Proxy wasn't exactly the right word, I meant it always picks up the ip address of my internet service provider instead of mine. Most sites can see my ip address but rapidshare can't. For when it does detect your ip properly i'm sure it's a great service. Anyway, this is going off topic so I won't say any more.

It didn't desync here either, you're good to go. Just a suggestion, if you don't already, do a savestate after every few rooms and replay the movie file just to make sure you don't desync, although it could be annoying. Edit: This was meant to be before the last few posts, but forgot to send it through till later and all these other posts came.

I think that can be said from all of us! Wish you all the best luck in the world (apart from the luck keeping me alive, giving me good exam papers, and luck with my girlfriend :P)

With all you people that are desynching, as it works perfectly on mine, make sure all the plugins are the same and that you have raw data checked for the controller. I had to do this before it would work properly for me the first time, oh and I also had to have the latest version of the re-recording mupen, which at the time was version 8.

If only I didn't use the computer so much, then my hands would be in perfect condition to take up this. Mind you, I seem to have a history of not completing runs so you should never count on me anyway... If you don't mind me asking, why did you cancel?

Oh yeah, does anyone know why GuanoBowl's new movie pops up error boxes all throughout the part where he leaves Kokiri Forest? I just thought of that thanks to JXQ's post...
That doesn't happen to me... I had some problems (desync) with the version of mupen rerecording i had and downloaded the one mentioned in the FAQs (version 8 i think) and it works fine. BTW, great work so far. I'm not certain, but I could've sworn I've played a version of OoT where when you save it asks whether you want to continue, and if you said no you'd go back to the title screen... Trying my version on the n64 though didn't have it so i'm not too sure now...

For plugins, I usually find http://www.ngemu.com to work, you might have to search for a bios though.

I'm thinking of doing this run, but was wondering something, should I do a run where I get the exact amount of Lemmings is necessary or getting as many in as possible? Edit: I've decided to do a minimum amount of lemmings. This is the first three levels, although i think the third can be optimised a bit more. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/994/AdmiralJonB%20Lemmings%20v2.smv Any comment/advice would be appreciated.

And if I'm going by the internal mail system it doesn't allow attachment so... If you don't want to publish your email on the board you are more than welcome to PM me about it. :)
Oops, well the link you gave worked for me. Thanks, I'll remember to post my email next time. Edit: Wow, amazing work. I don't know how you have the patience to find all these glitches and paths. If i did, I'd be helping you out... Anyway, good luck with the next part of the run.

Here is a WIP that finishes the bowser stage 18 frames faster than spezzafer's. Looking back at both movies, i think spezzafer's look a little more impressive because he rotates the camera so much (so it looks like there is more going on). It also plays the bowser and gets the key, but slower than spezzafer. He manipulated or was lucky that bowser did a hand attack at the very beggining of the fight, and i couldn't replicate it. This saved him several frames. I must try to get it right, if anyone knows how to, let me know. http://rapidshare.de/files/16672174/SUPERMARIO64-FODA-120starsWIP-v73.zip.html there is a savestate for slot #8 that starts at the bob-omb-battlefield first star. (CHECK "READ-ONLY" WHILE PLAYING THE MOVIE).
Would it be possible for someone to email me this file? Rapidshare thinks i'm doing something illegal when it's actually picking up my ISP's IP.

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/835/CIMA%20-%20Lost%20Forest.vbm Probably not the best choice for a run, but here's what I've got so far. This completes the tutorial level and the first level (after a looong intro sequence). I think there are places this can be optimised, but I'm not too sure so I thought I'd ask you guys. A lot of this isn't optimised as I have to wait for the passengers to move to their destination, so there isn't much point to. In case people are wondering, the boss fight near the end. You can only hit it three times before it moves to the next point of attack. I believe that fight is fully optimised, although tell me if you find something.

Just a thought, maybe you could jump up to the place where you spin around the sticks, get the coins, then jump back down and talk to KTQ. It would get quite a few coins out of the way if there isn't enough time (you can do some kind of jump up there can't you?)

Does anyone have a link to a website with the memory address of things like "link gets damage", "link dies", "link falls down a hole" etc.? I've got an idea I want to test out.

Problem is, I don't think save-states have been implemented for Sega CD games that work properly, something to do with the soundtracks or something. I don't quite understand it myself. There's one game I really would like to see as a TAS on it, but unfortunately with the save-state problem. It works fine slowed down though. Correct me if I'm wrong (I'd like to be wrong :P)
