So I've basically just beaten through StarFox just to get a feel of it on the keyboard (No joystick! *cry*) and I'm feeling a bit iffy about it because it's not as easy to control unless there's a way to control the analog stick via mouse. o.o
There is a way to use the mouse as an analog stick, although i find it incredibly weird. I can't remember which plugin you use though... I'll try to find out, unless someone replies before me.

Personally I think that it should be a run where everything is destroyed, a full score run.

Well, congratulations anyway! I agree with you I think, although it would still be nice to see one. BTW, I thought it was great what you did.

The Curse has failed... Congratulations!

I watched it too, very nice job. Do you think you could do another version where you get all the Chaos Emeralds?
Something I'd like as well, but I doubt will get.

I just wanted to update everyone on how the run is going. I'm currently at the boss of Labyrinth 3. I won't be posting any more WIPs because I am enjoying making the run much more since I decided not to. You can check my progress in my signature, I'll try to update it whenever I progress through the run. And, not to jinx myself, but I should be finished with the run before Christmas. *Dodges curse* Thanks to everyone who's supporting this run!
Christmas? If you manage to do it by then... that's impossible. The curse might still have time to take effect, beware. Good Luck!

I have an idea for possibly refining bisqbot a bit, although i think this idea has already been hinted on in different places. It got me thinking with this maximum time thing, that you could quite easily generate all the possible combinations for that certain time in a file, whatever format. You could run it line by line rather than random from that point on. If the condition is not completed with that frame input, mark it to say it doesn't reach the goal. If the condition is completed then mark it as completed and at which frame. Search through the database and mark each one with the same combination up to that point as completed and the frame it completes that. If from here on a combination takes longer, automatically mark it as invalid (if you want the fastest time). If a fail point (i.e. damage, fall into pit) occurs then mark it as bad, and also the frame at which the fail occurs. Then get it to search down the list and any combination with the same input up to the frame of the current can be marked bad (which could quite possibly cut out a ton of combinations). With this idea, you can also stop the computer from doing this and continue from any points that haven't been tested. It's just an idea. Personally, I see this as the fastest way to try every possible combination, correct me if i'm wrong. Of course if ideas of something like constantly moving or something this could still be applicable. The only problem I forsee with this method is the file size of the combinations if you're doing a whole game or something. Just to say, I personally like the idea of Bisqbot, whether it's used for manipulating luck in a small sequence or a whole game. Well, I think a whole game is a bit excessive as there would be absolutely no point in us humans doing a run in the first place if you can get a computer to do it all.

bob, this is a run I would like to see done as well. If you ever gain interest again, I'll be rooting for you.

Brilliant work. It wants me to get back to my 120 star run I started however many weeks ago re-recording was made possible. Did you use a mouse for the analog stick the whole time or what? I'm guessing you changed the sensitivity for when you just wanted to turn around etc.

It's possible (I can't do this now, though), but it's also possible for you to download it from where it is. I just checked and it let me download it... Are you sure you're clicking on the right buttons?
It keeps saying I've download a certain amount in an hour (which I haven't) and that to have more to purchase a premium account.

Have you tried de-activating all controllers apart from 1 (if they're active)?

Just wondering, is it possible to do a Pause at Frame function like in the VBA recording emulator? I've found that very useful

Thanks nitsuja, just one more question. How do you continue recording from a movie file?

Great! Now for some reason the movie file doesn't load properly. It comes up with errors of controllers and rumple packs, then a different rom header, and then nothing happens. This is for both the files in the mario 64 thread. I have the roms loaded from the directory settings as you said before but I can't see anything different that i'm doing.

Also, in one test I did, changing the input plugin caused a desync. Maybe it's because I had raw data enabled, I'll have to try it again, but the input plugin shouldn't matter for synchronization either because it should be bypassed for playback.
Just a thought, I know that the core is the same, but could it be possible that somehow the core calculates differently depending on what plugins are being used?

Nice work. So, what ever happened to the original Sonic 1 run? If you don't mind me asking.

Well, you remember correctly. It was their first rpg i believe so all the scripting of events were very basic. Still, it was a success.

I think the main problem in this game would be the chip combinations, by meaning which chips to collect to have the fastest completion time. I don't really have any chip-collecting skills in these games unfortunately, otherwise i'd be on this run like a... well... i dunno. I started a run of MMBN3 in vba before the re-recording came out, although it only had the school complete i think.
