I adamantly vote no. As per the other sonic runs (and sonic speedrunning in general), I personally view avoiding score-counting by slowing down to be annoying at best, and blasphemy at worst. it makes comparing times horrible. Also, please post a level-time list for comparison when there's an in-game timer.

Yes vote. having beaten this game for 20$ (a friend said it couldn't be done, heh), I know just how short this run is.

Pinball, Pong, and the compelling argument that a ball of fire told me to vote yes... all the while entertaining me with explody antics and fast-paced awesomeness. When I first read the description, I was like "meh, speed/entertainment tradeoffs are usually bad... but I'll watch it" I'm happy I did, that was one of the most entertaining half hours I've had thanks to this site ^_^ GO GO GUNSTAR!

Holy crap that was awesome! Honestly, I'm amazed at this run. As a long-time fan of the series, and someone who rather enjoyed this game, I love seeing it be torn apart in such an entertaining manner. Certain yes vote from me, looking forward to any improvements to this.

Wow... this goes back to "games played to look easy". I mean, regardless of how hard or easy this particular contra entry is in realtime, it's kinda fun to watch it get eaten alive by a good TAS. Death Abuse was the correct choice. Congratulations. Easy yes vote!

There's no superplay in this movie, and I honestly believe that a decent RT speedrun of this would surpass it. Voting no.

Compared to most of the MK movies I've seen, this is par in a lot of ways. I vote a resounding meh, which is still pretty bad for my scale sorry...

Really enjoyed this run, myself, as I tried numerous times to pull off speedruns and they've all fallen apart (SO annoying when a few frames means you can lose as much as a minute...)

Wow, hell of a run, yes vote from me. I would also like to note that this run is one of the first fighting game runs where people are fully voting yes thus far ^_^ kudos, dude!

Love this hack and love this run of it... Broken runs are awesome, imo. I'd like to add the question pointed at those who dislike hacks: Do you people also think that everyone online isn't real? is it true, in your minds, that nothing without a physical form exists? I'm sorry, but anyone who says "it's not real because a company didn't make it" are unaware of some of the greats out there. Solstice was made by three guys and a dev kit. How is the game they made, which was based on a classic arcade game in mechanics, any different from any other hack or idea? Imnsho, getting a new version, a harder version, of a game I've always loved couldn't be more anywhere near as rewarding as a half-baked bullshit idea created by some suit who's more interested in his paycheck than his product. sorry for any angst, just posting remarks and rebuttals.

Personally, I took a totally different view from just about everyone here. When I first saw the TAS, I didn't know it was a TAS, but there were many things I knew weren't possible in real-time, so I assumed it had been slow-played (I'd made a video, prior, for Sonic 1 with a slow, buggy flash player for it that was nigh-perfect, so I kinda independently discovered TASes >_>) I look at it the same way I look at TASes: They're a show of perfection and they show what's possible, if improbable, in speedrunning.

Highly refined run of the game, and it was personally more interesting than the WW run of this game. Having played this game after seeing the WW run, I feel that the full run does it more justice. Also, I don't understand why you wouldn't approve a run just because it only has a few viewers. If it's a quality run, then it should be published, shouldn't it?

Wow... absolutely amazing! I remember when I finally managed to beat this game the first time... and now it's been shattered into itty-bitty pieces! LOVE IT!

Yes vote from me. Other people might complain about multiple same-type or same-game runs, but in my opinion, TASvids should grow to become an archive of EVERY game annihilated in the best possible or most entertaining way... regardless, there are a couple things I didn't understand in the run, but I'll chalk it up to unfamiliarity with the game and engine. Regardless, a very solid run that kept me entertained throughout.

Seems solid to me, and the game looks pretty fun... I may pick it up and play it, at some point. Yes vote from me.

I want to see this published, as I'm a major fan of the game. A little boring at times, but the ending (and my familiarity of the game) certainly make it worth it. Also, I think an enemy HP bar/counter might be a good idea, but it might detract from the movie... I'd have to see it with it to decide....

Amazingly dedicated and solid run. As an ex-cody-main, I know how grand a lot of this stuff is. The above comment about TAS videos not being the best place for these makes sense, except that the S in TAS doesn't stand for speedrun, and more people need to recognize that. It saddens me when someone's run is obsoleted because someone else didn't make the speed/entertainment tradeoff... I digress... this run is amazing, and it lets me vote YES without even the slightest bit of hesitation.

hate to necro, but the current run doesn't include the Met2 zip, which saves loads of time. Is a new one being planned?

This run isn't directly comparable to the PS2 run, for anyone interested. There are differences in Knockdown and invc times that changes how the run functions. There are a couple things that are faster in the PS2 version, but I'm wondering if (and assuming it doesn't) translate to a faster TAS. I look forward to the PS2 version of this being TASed, though... As for the run itself, it seems really really tightly refined. kudos.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't find these types of fighter runs to be interesting in the slightest. I also fail to see the point, or difficulty, in controlling two characters fighting each other. The only time I've seen that idea work was here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLRzDQo4BPg&feature=channel_page.
Who said a TAS has to show skill? Who said they have to be hard to make? By the statements of this site as a whole, how hard or easy it is to make a TAS is completely irrelevant to how good the run is. Do you find the Gradius runs as lame? They're easier than hell to do! These runs LOOK good, and they show off a lot about the game (especially if you're versed in the mechanics of the game, it's a blast to watch)
