yeah i know its only J version, i was wondering if there was anyone with a file similar to that or even the 130 exits :P
i mean i could easily get 98 exits but getting Yoshis home would take extreme savestating and i doubt i'll be able to make funky even with savestates
i start my timing on start and end on mantra kill SDA uses on character control, but i feel like thats wrong since already at the start you manipulate the intro to give you a sage otherwise its a reset
A question here i know that PI106 gives you the ability to finnish a level with regular goal and "secret" goal and i know you can spawn a key/keyhole on Funky to get an additional exit in your title screen on J version. how would it affect to use the PI106 secret exit on every level that doesn't normally have a secret exit?
Afaik the Emulator ban came when out of nowhere a "random" guy called exarion got a 1:50 on emulator making werster question if it was real since it could be so easy to cheat on emulator by having a false rom which again is dumb because its just as easy to splice a run let alone add a rom to your flashcart and trick around with it without anyone noticing it. but then exarion got that 1:50 on console proved everyone wrong.
as soon as someone gets a WR on emulator its called "not the WR" which is dumb because apparently you are allowed to get WR's on VC ==== Emulator since VC runs faster for example DKC2 OoT(although most peopel run ique) SM64 etc etc. but apparently VC WR is allowed how? because it was developed by nintendo?
How can you be sure that calebhart hasn't prerecorded his run and streamed it? your point is invalid, either you don't believe anyone or you believe it simple is that
note im not accusing calebhart to prerecord his runs ofc im just making a point here that anyone could cheat in one way or another if they wanted to
Alaktorn that is so dumb because many people consider VC to be legit, yet thats another emulator and yet another thing, SGB1 runs faster than Gameboy and it is official hardware but is frown upon using.
SNES9x emulates lag pretty perfect the only exception i've heard is MMX2 and X3 due to chip over the course of a 1h 30 min run snes9x runs approx 15s slower than console
This is a dumb concept, SNES9x is slower than console for most games since it runs 60 FPS where as console runs slightly faster, however you can set 2 or even 3 or even up 4 buttons for mashing in emulator to your advantage. But in terms of speed its completly legit since the emulator doesn't run any faster than console lol
There has already been a Wrong warp to credits done by JeffW in 4:59
I don't see how eating any other chuck/object would save any time in a any% run unless you can get it in DP1, in a 96 run any of these glitches would be banned, and as for TASing goes, they would just get rejected as they can already use ACE to warp to the credits in around 40 seconds.
Can always use the PI glitch to get anything you want in the item in Reserve in YI3.
OK so i made a playthrough of the game on J version
from what i could tell the differences are
Intro Natsume is diffrent.
Limit is 3 Bombs, US has a limit of 4
There spawns 1 ghost early on in stage 1(doesn't really do anything)
Soundeffects are way worse LOL.
THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN LAG i'm not kidding.
_less lag_
The Stage 4 Boss has 2 sentences instead of 3(faster)
Stage 5 Boss has 4 Sentences(slower?)
Stage 5 has like waaaay less lag lol
Stage 6 noticed nothing.
Now this is just from my own experience i could be wrong but this is how i felt like it since i got a -4 second gold split on stage 2 boss with a pretty bad stage overall lol
i'm not entirely sure but i've killed the bird before it got offscreen not entirely sure if it was killed entirely by the bomb but i'm also running Solo so the boss would move diffrently
With a little further manipulation of the boss's flight pattern (moving Pocky to the right by ~10px) and a minor adjustment in bomb positioning (~1px), I was able to successfully one-shot the boss with bomb alone. This saves 16 frames. Thanks for the tip :-)
updated BK2 file
Uhm there is a huge difference in that fight co-op vs solo though, i just stand in a fixed position and the boss will fly past me to the right when the text ends i need to be really quick at pressing the bomb to damage him as much as possible/oneshot him. most of the time i need to take 3-4 seconds hitting him after and in my PB it was a really bad bomb so it took way more:/
