Great match today. But it's time for Neymar to stop the overreactions. It's getting really embarrassing, even when he is right (after all, the dude trod on him for no reason).

Yeah, this was the most boring match so far. Even Panama was more interesting. Glad to be dead wrong in the prediction.

The current model does not assume that the universe has a finite volume. The best data we have points to a flat model within the margin of error ( Ω = 1). That means, it's consistent with a infinite universe or at least one which is much larger than the observable universe if the curvature is near. If Ω is slightly less than 1, the total universe is quite big but finite. If 1, it's flat and infinite. If more than 1, it's infinite and hyperbolic. Were the universe finite, you would end up in the opposite side from when you started traveling, like Mario does in vertical levels of SMB3. Except that it would be a sphere, not a rectangle. Actually, there's a possibility that the total universe is smaller than the observable universe: in this case if you see distant galaxies in opposite directions, you might be looking at the same one.

I should have watched this earlier, due to the amount of effort put on this (now and over the years). Excellent run (speed and entertainment-wise), I hope to see this run approved. Whoever voted no or meh might have some good reasons to do so, maybe they should write them here.

I am also taking this moment to announce I'll be taking a temporary break from the site as a whole. Hopefully, only a temporary break. Thanks for your work here.

My Youtube analytics suggests me that guys care much more about TAS than women. For some reason, older women like it slightly more: https://imgur.com/a/iZmvv9g

Thanks for this text, Nathan. Quoting bahamete:
Yoshi uses sprite table $7E00C2 to determine his current state. #$00 = not riding, #$01 = riding, #$02 = running away (hurt). The bug occurs when a sprite spawns in Yoshi's (now unused) slot using an initial value of #$01. The game determines that Mario must be riding this sprite and, as such, teleports the new sprite to underneath him. It quickly corrects itself (as there are no Yoshi's present) but the one frame is sufficient to trigger the glitch. This isn't such a technical explanation but I hope it is sufficient.
The problem is, many sprites use $C2, but only a few set it to 1 between the 1st and the 2nd frame of existence.

We always had problems with initial WRAM. Recently, with initial SRAM. And now it's due to initial APURAM values, most of which is not zeroed or touched.

April's 1st is over. I'd rather vote to purge the current record from this site instead of accepting this submission. As far as I know, the current ACE strat requires one single byte SRAM+101 to have certain values to work (not just $FF). lsnes has to have some default. The odds of having a payload in the SRAM from factory is negligible.
We do not allow save-anchored movies. We want a standard starting point for movies (power-on). Saves introduce an infinite amount of possible variation that may cause the game to behave differently compared to starting from power-on. They also can be hacked, allowing nearly transparent cheating.

After landing on Yoshi for the 100th time, I though it was just an april fools prank aiming to waste our times. But it turns out to be an interesting glitch.

It just so happens that our accepted SNES emulators fill the SRAM with the required byte. Yes vote.

I'm not expert, but I'm pretty sure it increases the risk by eliminating the concept of bullet-proof rerecording. http://tasvideos.org/LawsOfTAS/Glossary.html

I'd like to complement that bots are only useful is small sections of the level and they're game specific. If the TASer doesn't research the game and sucks at TASing manually, the bot will suck even more. There's no feasible way to build a bot that does the hard work (in most games). Bots will also be unable to add entertainment value, as it's not a objective thing to implement in the code.

I like this kind of goals, where even the best TASers of the game have to think a lot if something is viable or not. Entertaining run with a lot of tricks and non-linear strats deserves a yes vote.
