I always remembered it to be 'Fight On'. That was the only thing that really made sense in my mind. I enjoyed this TAS. I loved the Glacius fight, and there were rather amusing highlights elsewhere that made me smile (Spinal changing into Spinal?! wtf?!). Definite yes vote.

. . . When I posted this in the "most pointless game to TAS" topic, I never expected for anyone to turn around and do this, even in theory. You just broke my mind. Good day sir.

Although... is the ending different if you only have all of the chaos emeralds instead of all of the super emeralds?
Not entirely. If Knux has all the Chaos Emeralds when completing the game, he picks up the Master Emerald "Pillar" and carries it back to Angel Island. If he has the Super Emeralds, he's Super while doing it. No big difference there.

As long as the author provides a from-start movie or uses an existing published one that creates the same SRAM used by the movie, I see no reason not to allow that in general, because it proves that the SRAM was not tampered with.
This is more along the lines of what I meant; I just failed to put it in proper words.

Was there a good reason to use the normal difficulty level?
You need SRAM to access hard mode, which is (generally) a no-no on the site. Xaphan plays on normal as well.
If TASes of Chrono Trigger and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow were accepted with the SRAM that allowed them to access special modes, I see no reason why a hard run mode of MMZ4 wouldn't be accepted.

Just for reference's sake, it's just "Krow" when he/she/it/potato is alive. The ghostly form is "Kreepy Krow". :p Haven't seen the wip yet, but the improvements that you've typed out sound sweet. Keep up the good work.

I agree with xebra's latest post, I think the one from the beginning of Mushroom Hill 2 is excellent.
Agreed. The current picture up doesn't tell anything about the run, other than things blow up. However, that one gives you an idea of how insane this TAS is, and without spoiling that much. I also liked the Flying Battery one that Nrg made, but it's not as exciting as the MH2 one listed above. Edit: So, a few buddies and I decided to have a TAS watching session. I think that this reaction sums up everything about the video: Nex: Whoever this guy HAS to be Giygas. Nex: Because he has RAPED REALITY AND TURNED IT ALL INTO MOONSIDE True story.

Pokémon Puzzle Challenge. Intense difficulty, Challenge mode run. Normally I wouldn't be mentioning a game that's so similar to an already published TAS of another game (in this case, Tetris Attack), but the differences between the two runs would warrant it. For starters, the current TA run is an Endless mode run to max out the score before quitting. PPC's Challenge mode is basically TA's Story mode, only with pokémon. But that's where Intense difficulty comes in. Due to the GBC's limited screen width, it can only show one screen of blocks — those would be yours. This means that you don't see what "moves" the computer is doing, so it has a tendency to just randomly drop blocks on you. The first level of Intense alone has the computer dropping ×5 and ×6 garbage blocks constantly. The mode is pratically impossible to beat without tools, and even then I think that there would need to be some seriously planning ahead in order to not get bogged down by an endless stream of garbage blocks. That's my game for this wishlist. I doubt that it'll ever be picked up, but it's always fun to dream. :V

It is my understanding that hacks aren't accepted lightly... but several Mario games have had hacks with runs.. why not Sonic?
Because of the "three M" rule? *decked* Seriously, the S1&K hack is pretty masterfully done. It'd be absurdity to turn it away.

Question: With 57 "YES" votes and 0 "NO" or "MEH" votes, WHY IS THIS NOT ACCEPTED YET?!?!?!.
Simple: Because the sheer "wtf" of the TAS keeps breaking the encoding process. It's that insane. (Oh, and everyone's mind. They're too stunned to type out coherent sentences right now.) Btw, you also managed to break my friend's mind as well. I hope you're happy without yourself ninja man. :[

Wasn't that also the case in Dawn of Souls (FF1+2)? If this is true, then history tells us that things would be changed around in FF5 Advance as well.

... *mind breaks* The game... does not bend like that, no damn you. *curls into a ball and cries* As Angerfist said, what the fuck did you do to this poor game? This isn't even a regular TAS; this is an emurape that completely violates the games that I played growing up without mercy. There are parts of this game that aren't even recognizable to me anymore because of what you've done to them. I hope that you're happy with yourself. :[ ...because somewhere, in the deep dark recesses of mind, I know I am. Yes vote. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to cry more from the thought that you removed an entire bleeding act fromt the roster.

SMB1 also has good gameplay and nostalgia going for it. The question is, does this have enough entertainment factor going for it to warrant it being TAS'd without people going "wtf boring :\".

I had this game for the GBA, and it was basically a slightly stripped-down port of the SNES version with mini-games. Other than that, I don't remember there to be any differences. I haven't played the DKC3 port, but the only thing that I've heard was different is the music. Strange.

Sounds like something that you would just put up to say "hay look I did something shiny!" instead of submitting it. And considering the content of the game — namely the countdown timer and lack of combat options — I highly doubt that it'd get published. That's not to say that it still couldn't prove to be entertaining, but just giving you my 2¢.

It'd be better to control Gooey in the final battle instead of letting the CPU have control of it. The CPU is pretty weaksauce, and it'll be dead within a few seconds after it's onscreen. Not sure on sliding vs. running, seeing that the mystical art of frame advance is lost on me. However, it seems to me that running and sliding are both the same speed, with the only difference being that sliding has a short pause in between slides; this might be able to be eliminated via frame advancing. Just the observations of someone who decided to run through the first stage without tools for five minutes.

How exciting! Watched the WIPs, and I was thoroughly entertained throughout the entire run. Definite yes vote.

Wouldn't just leveling a pokemon up using rare candies make it weaker than a pokemon that's been leveled up naturally? (I know this holds true for the newer games in the series, but I'm not certain about the older generation.)

For some reason, when that UFO was shot down in 6-2, I got the picture in my head that Kirby was saying "There can only be one! >8[" ... >.> Great movie overall. Voting yes.

Could someone tell me how to upload the savestate without it stopping the movie? Every time I've tried it, it's always kicked my arse thrice over. (Yes, in one go.)

Ahaha, that was great. I especially like the part where he's leveling up in the dungeon for some odd reason. It's like he's killing people by playing tag. XD Will I watch this movie again? Probably not, but throughout its duration, I was thoroughly entertained. And I haven't even played the game before. Yes.

"Firebrand" is the name of that particular monster from the Gargoyle's Quest series and Demon Crest. "Red Arremer" is simply the species. At least, that's how I always understood it.

Haha, I find it funny that there are games that get weeded out for being "boring" when there are some games that aren't quite up there on the entertainment factor. (Note that all of this is opinion, and if you get pissy about it, then it's your own fault.) Take Star Ocean for example. I cannot sit through that TAS for the life of me, and this is despite the fact that I know a good bit of what's going on (haven't played through it all yet, but I'm getting there). The optimization is just incredible, but other than that, it's just plain dull. Final Fantasy VI is another one. To be fair, I thought the first part of the TAS was absolute win... and then Seltzer came along and Joker Doom'd everything in his path. Yeah, that's some nice optimization for unlocking the slots, but what the fuck? I understand that the aim is to finish the game as possible, but there's not much entertainment when damn near everything get one-shotted. Chakran the Forever Man. Oh shit don't get me started on that one. Now there was a run that was rejected a while back, Who Framed Roger Rabbit? True, it was confusing if you didn't know what was going on, but that's true for a lot of games (y helo thar supa demo za worldo). It was short enough to not come across as too boring for too long, and sweet enough to not look too shabby. And that got eaten by a grue. :( So yeah, I think that the term "boring movie" is subjective, because (looking back from my examples), there are different views on what's boring and what's not. Now repetitive on the other hand is a different matter. It's easier to make a distinction on what's repetitive (i.e. holy shit does all he do is walk?) and what's boring. At least, that's just the way I see t*ninja!*
