Also, 2-2 is just poor overall. You slow down so much. This can definitely be improved, and even if you have to go way back (which you shouldn't for SMB), you can avoid most slowdown.

Zene, TimeSpaceMage posted a comment on my video that I hadn't thought of: You should be avoiding the end-of-level fireworks.

Holy shit, this was a lot longer than I thought it would be. WIP Encode: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9 Full movie Look forward to another set in maybe a year :P EDIT: Here, why do you go around to the left? Wouldn't taking the ladder on the right be faster?

Encode (might have to come back in a few minutes if it's still processing where you are) No offense, but I couldn't find much entertainment. All the games are very simple and repetitive. I think you did the best you could with what you got; this game just doesn't look very fun to watch. Still, a game's a game, and they all gotta go some time, so hopefully more people will weigh in with positive reviews. Doing it for yourself is fine, of course. I'm just saying this game is not the best suited, in my opinion, for TASing.

I enjoyed it, as well. I find it funny that the fastest possible play of the game still results in sub-S rank mission grades. Now I don't feel so bad (Never could get above C ;_;). I know it's because of damage and etc., but it's still amusing. (No problem, Crit. S'what I do *sunglasses*)

I've definitely played games where cruise control resulted in greater speed in a direction. I believe it happens in Banjo Kazooie, but it's been a while. I KNOW it happens, though, and not even just on N64.

Hey, nitro, just got your YouTube comment. Sorry about not crediting you, it slipped my mind on your video. I commented back there, but they don't really notify you about profile comments well, so I figured I'd post here to let you know I'd edited the video's description.

Oh, I remember this game. Are you planning to run it? If not, maybe I will, it seems simple enough as a first game.

No problem. Here, have another. I'm really loving this TAS, theenglishman. I'll keep uploading WIPs for you, glad I decided to do this one. At least, until they exceed what I can find a way to upload.

I'm posting this. Encode. Question, why do you jump before shooting each time, and why don't you get closer? Does the period of invulnerability after a hit last so long you can be on the opposite side of the screen with the sword without losing time?

Does the game even let you pause if you're not on the ground? I remember SM64 being super restrictive in terms of when you can and cannot pause.

TASVideos is what it would look like if Segata Sanshiro were playing against Teddy Roosevelt and competing for the love of David Bowie.

OH, huh. I'll mess around with both of those things and get back to you, then. Coulda sworn I followed directions exactly.

Alright, I made a decent amount of headway, but I'm having difficulty getting the subtitles and the logo in. This is as far as I got without any problems. I was wondering if someone could look at what I did here to tell me what I did wrong. EDIT: encode itself, figured I'd upload it just because http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_Ep8WPLgAM

There are youtube links in some of the discussion threads for these movies (ironically, the same one I linked earlier). Admittedly, not the best quality, but they exist.
