As someone who speedruns this game RTA, I'm wondering if there is any other information regarding RNG manipulation. This does sound like a good amount of trial and error to figure out good RNG patterns. The system time on the GC mattering is interesting but I've seen it with other games as well. I'm going to assume that playing on a Wii would produce the same results. I am not a technical person by any means so much of the original post went way over my head but I get the gist of what is being said. Our little community has been looking for someone who could look into the actual code for this game and figure out how things work. I understand this is a TAS website and not everything could be applied in an RTA setting but understanding how the game works is pivotal really. I'm glad to see that someone has looked into this a bit.
It would be interesting to be able to manipulate drops in this game. Particularly really rare drops like the Electri Box drop in the first dungeon, stat boosting seeds, etc. Moonberries are another key drop which isn't as rare. Getting a consistent Black Map drop from a Looper enemy would be nice and a Silvite Ring from the Azbeth enemies in the Nasr area. But yeah, this is mostly me just looking around for information if anyone has it.
