In the 4th level, for the big jump before the checkpoint (the one with the snowman and the fan), when jumping at the edge of the platform, I don't obtain the same result when I do it before the snowman appears (thank to the speed potion and the cutscene that allow me to be outside the camera), and if I wait for the camera, kill the snowman then perform this jump. I'm not totally sure, but I think it's because the fan is probably not loaded yet in the first case, so I hit the wall and loose my speed This would mean that you have to wait a bit that the fan is loaded, so I agree with turbofa in the fact that you have to deal with the snowman whatever you do

Faster strats, better moves optimisation, this run should be the fastest unless a new trick/glitch is found. The movie is not that entertaining, but the game doesn't offer so much possibilities to be entertaining. So I guess things like the rope section of the sixth level are enough to vote yes, as this run seems to be optimized Just a question : How did you manage to get a boost by killing the second bat in the 8th level ? Could it be used in others places ?

I found that you can save time in the 8th level, by going back to the checkpoint after getting double jump, then go to the platform on the top left (where there is the yellow enemy), then to the moving platform to reach end of the level, instead of doing all the double jumping stuff intended ;)
Used this route, but still I needed to wait for the platform and the crushing wall, at the end it's not faster, but still a nice find, thanks!
I admit I didn't take the time to check, I was sure it would be faster =p Nice find for the bat jump. Do you have an idea of what makes your speed dont reduce on that jump ? If yes maybe it could be used in sommes other places in the game

This run is not optimal. I tried to make a TAS of the first level, mine is 50 frames faster than yours, and in some areas you don't use fastest strats, such as Gargamel fight, where you don't need to jump on the enemy to hit Garagmel, a precise jump and correct timing to throw the present are enough
Can we just get some proof on this please: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/my#uploadfile
Here is my movie ;) http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/download/25685037053685779

Well.... If I find where to go to vote >.<' (Can someone help me to find ?)
