Fusion being Fusion, there are a lot of text and elevator sequences, but the actual gameplay sequences are neat. Easy Yes vote

Yay, a game from my childhood. I remember years ago trying to find tricks or glitches to save time, but only finding deaths to avoid backtracking. And looks like that's it. Unfortunately, nothing really surprised me during this run. And some levels, like the Wagons or Trains 1, were pretty long and repetitive, and so a bit boring to watch. Besides that, I think some waiting sections (waiting for a gate to open in Mine Tunnels, or after beating the first boss of Train 2) could contain more entertaining stuff, like showing how fast you can shoot when changing angles, or so. In short I find the run not bad, but the game is not very entertaining to watch. Meh vote, but still good job. Also, as a kid I was convinced it was possible to skip getting the dynamite in the first level, by jumping at the last possible moment from the top of the ladder to wooden boxes. I assume you tried and it's not possible. I was wrong all this time ='(

As a member of the speedrunning community of this game, I was impressed to see how this TAS made great use of the two players mode, for both great speed and entertainment, even if no new strat was actually found. Yes vote, nice work

As said by other people, fastest time should have been a secondary goal. The first goal is pretty interesting, as it shows many things not shown in other publications of SMW. Unfortunately, I have to vote no because of the choices made that BrunoVisnadi talk about, that significantely increase the time of this TAS. In my opinion this TAS is pretty good, but do not belong in this site due to the goal choice

You did a great technical work, but after seeing 4-5 zip-zagging, you feel like you have seen most of the TAS. Good job nevertheless, yes vote

Well, I changed my mind and started over the TAS with the improved first level. Thanks to new stuff, half of the game is done and I'm 627 frames ahead of my previous work, and 1231 of the published movie The WIP is available here

You can't skip Power Grid. When you go to Norfair, if you take the door to the right instead of the one on the left to get PG, you will face a [I don't know its name but I'm talking about the purple orb that can only be destroyed by the bugs in Brinstar] right before the door of the big room. Since you can't destroy it, you have to collect PG in order to make ir disapear

I have an idea to get early power bombs in Norfair, but I'm not sure this is really possible. If you first get a shinespark here, but after passing the door, instead of keep going to the right as in the video, you do a reverse shinespark on the slope and go in the lava where the PB is, will you have enough time to refill your shinespark on the slops in the lava and so get the PB ? I don't know if what I said was clear >_<

Thanks to a new glitch found by turbofa, I improved once more the first level. I tried to use TAStudio to change the "old" first level from ths TAS I'm currently doing by this one, but it makes the rest of the run desync, I could not find a way to deal with it, I should have to redo the whole run. As the TAS is almost finished, I will not do it again. I share the new first level here in case someone would like to do another TAS after mine, or simply find a way to make the rest of the run sync with this new level I hope this would help : http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/30242638064197287

Hello, I am a beginner at Tasing and I would like to hnow how to use cheats Context : I am TASing The Smurfs on PSX with BizHawk, and found a way to reach OoB. I was wondering if reaching the end of the level this way would actually end the level, so I tried to do it. But here is the problem : There is wall I can't pass because I don't jump high enough. I wanted to use a cheat to set my Y speed to a value greater than 0 so the Smurfs can obtain enough height to pass the wall, but nothing happened when I did it. Is this the correct way to use cheats ? If yes, what might be the problem ? If no, how I am supposed to use cheats ? I hope someone can help me :)

This is amazing ! Do you think it would be possible to use the trick used in Crateria to break shinespark blocs next to your ship and so going to Tourian and have early PB ?

I found a way to get OoB ! This requires very precise jump, and is useless for now. But I want to share it here Link to video

I improved the first level, by using a new trick, that consists of taking damage to get a little more speed than usual, and keeping this speed by jumpig as soon as you touch the ground. For some reason, sometimes when you touch the ground, you loose a bit of your speed. I don't know what causes this yet http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/28040014320914096 This movie ends the first level in 9696 frames, against 9806 in the published one ;)

I download Bizhawk few days after the first turbofa's submission, following the link on the site. I can't remember which version it was, but Windows tell it is 1.11.1.9307. I just took the one given by the site at this moment, I didn't know it was a "non-official" release. Could this be the cause of the desync ? I used scph1001.bin I am new, so I guess there are things that I did wrong, I apologize

Hi. Maybe it's something already known, but as I' am not sure i want to share this with you. I remember that it happened once that I went through the floor in this game. It was in the level 3-3, when you enter a pipe in the tree (the room with the horizontal moving platform). Because my english is rather bad, I suggest you to take a look to this veeeeery beautiful picture that explain better than I could do what happened to Mario : http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2015/42/1444759990-img-20151013-200749.jpg This was some years ago, so I am not 100%, but if I remind correctly, I did a crouch jump to go to the little hole just before the platform (which was moving from right to left) reached it. But instead of walking on the floor, Mario just went through, so I did just land on the switch. Once again, this happened some years ago, so I am not able to give you more details. But I am sure that it happened. Hope this could be useful ;)
