Could anyone give me a savestate for MQ with Spirit and Shadow medallions, preferrably with light arrows and the bridge already in place, but without any of Ganon's Castle completed?
I have a state you can use. How do I upload it though?

Yeah, it's really difficult, took me about 10 minutes just standing there waiting or tiptoeing along, then, sure enough, as soon as the fairy appeared it touched me. Oh well, I'll keep trying.

I think I may have answered one of my own Master Quest questions, but once again it only leads to another. In Lake Hylia, next to the scarecrows, are three butterflies that when touched with the tip of a deku stick turn into fairies. I've only managed to pull this off once (seems to be only a few pixels worth of positioning that work) but the fairy immediately touched me and I couldn't bottle it for Jabu Jabu. Has anyone ever replicated this so that they could catch the fairy? if so I could catch a bug in the kakariko bottle, use the bottle duplication glitch to turn my fairy ocarina into a bottle (don't need to play anything until you get the ocarina of time) Touch a fairy with a stick, bottle my fairy and be on my merry way. Now all I need to figure out is Master Quest trials skip without hover boots. Thanks.

OK, two more Master Quest questions, and I'm done, I promise :) -What is the fastest way to get a fairy to do the Jabu Jabu slimy thing skip? -How do you do the Trials Skip without the Hover Boots since the moveable Armos are gone? Thanks in advance once again.

Two Questions about Master Quest: -Is the Slingshot Skippable (and is it practical to skip it)? -and do you need to do RBA on the letter in a bottle before you give it to Kind Zora or is there a different C item that gives arrows? Thanks

Yeah, I was considering that. Maybe a 2 minute challenge of cylinder mode (sort of like the Wetrix 1 minute Challenge) I dunno, it was just something I had thought of when I was bored =/ EDIT: wow, I didn't know they were so similar. I didn't have alot of experience with the SNES so I'd never heard of Tetris Attack, but looking at them, it's pretty much the same thing. Meh, probably a bad game choice.

So I was browsing through the N64 Wishlist and saw Pokemon Puzzle League, which was one of my favorite N64 games as a child. For those of you who have never played it, it's a Pokemon-themed game that is similar to Tetris in that you are given several rows of blocks and you have to clear them. Except, the blocks come from below and you can change two horizontal blocks around. combining three or more of the same color clears them. And, you play against a computer opponent who is penalized whenever you chain two clears together or clear four or more blocks at once. First one whose blocks hit the top loses. I was thinking of doing a quick run of it, but it doesn't seem to work on any of my video plugins (Rice 6.0.0, Rice 6.1.1 Beta, Jabo 1.6, or Jabo 1.5.2) It just shows a black screen and runs at 0.0 fps. It works perfectly with Jabo 1.6 on Project64 though. It would probably make an interesting run, with tools it may be possible to keep multiple skill chains going at one time and clear levels very fast. I was playing through unassisted and managed to beat several of the Hard mode levels in under 30 seconds. A 1P stadium run would probably be no more than 10-11 minutes on Hard mode. I would be willing to do it, if only my plugins would work. If anyone knows a plugin that works for this game (if one exists) please let me know. Thanks, -Azorae

Bug is required to glitch the Nocturne of Shadow, so fish is probably out of the question. It's easy to get one though, just cut one of the grasses near the scarecrows at Lake Hylia (I forget which one) as a child while getting the Gold Scale.

You can knock down the hive with a Deku Bubble thing. Yeah, I'm mostly used to unassisted MM so the Romani Bottle is pretty difficult to get to the ranch on time. I haven't seen the route you're using for v2 either so I have no idea how to compare it. Oh well, I tried at least =/ good luck with the run, I was trying to TAS the first cycle and it desynched at the very beginning of the run. That HAS to be frustrating dealing with that constantly..

I was thinking, about 2 months ago when I was trying to come up with a route for MM, I came up with this, but I'm not completely sure on the times. Cycle 2: -Get the Anju&Kafei Bottle (good opportunity to collect Rupees?) -Get the Goron Mask Cycle 3: -Damage Boost over fence to Great Bay, hit Great Bay Owl -Get Zora Mask, Hookshot, and Egg 1 -Swim back and boost over fence (this is where the route looks a little iffy) -Go up Ikana, hit the Owl and jump into the River, carries you to Swamp -Get Koume&Kotake Bottle -Continue as normal Since the Song of Soaring is acquired in the Swamp, and both Great Bay and Ikana Owls were already hit, not alot of time is lost. The only lost time I can think of is swimming back after getting the hookshot, and deathwarping may work unless the Pirate's Fortress is like a temple and you start from the entrance when you die. Pros: -Saves about 10 Bombchus from Skull Kid Skip -Start Swamp closer to Lost Woods -Have Hookshot when starting Woodfall Temple (Saves alot of Bomb Hovering) -Have Zora Mask to do Big Octo Skip, saves a few seconds of climbing the ladder. Cons: -Have to Swim Back from Fortress (Deathwarping may work, haven't tried it) -Romani Bottle may be faster than Anju&Kafei Bottle Just a thought, if this wouldn't work just forget I said anything.

Swordless Switched from Master Quest over to the original right? I've seen his WIPs, and you're right, it'll be great. Sad to see Guanobowl leave though, his OoT run was what got me into TASing :(

I guess test run was the wrong wording. Doing it for fun? A bit better. I'm not doing it to submit, more along the lines of "I'm doing it just to do it." And I know 3 hours isn't alot, it just seems like alot when there's absolutely 0 possibility of it working. I might submit it if it looks good, but it's not very optimized so far (backwalking instead of sidehopping alot, slow deku tree, etc.) I'm pretty sure it would be rejected though.

So you're telling me the 3 hours I spent trying to superslide were meaningless? -_- Now just have to find a way to put the slingshot away quickly and my test run is back on track. Thanks.

Hmm.. I always just spammed A when bomb supersliding too. Maybe it's because I have the slingshot out? I can get Link to slide but only for about 15 frames or so. It's not a normal slide though either - He gets good distance. It's just not infinite.

Got this to work before, but now it keeps desynching around frame 117,000 in Dodongo's cavern. Link goes into the room beside the groundjump room and pushes one of the fish things into a wall, and then he runs around and rolls into the scenery.
I'm having the same problem :(

Argh, now I can't get the peahat superslide to work. I've tried on every frame but I just can't get it perfectly, after about 1000+ tries. Does the frame on which you tap "A" to grab the grass affect the outcome?

I'll keep that in mind, thanks alot. Still haven't managed to get it though :( I guess I'll try tomorrow. Hopefully I can get the WIP working so I can see What Guano/CF used.

Very Well Done. As a few others posted, the halfpipes got a little old (especially with trick repetitions) and repeated kissing the rail got a bit annoying, but the rest made up for it. I've only played it on GCN so some of the gameplay was a bit odd to me, but from my experience with the THPS series, this was a great run. Yes vote if I was allowed to vote.

I've been trying for around an hour now. Fastest I can do it (I'm not sure) is Stick -> 9 frames of wait -> slingshot -> 5 frames of wait -> Stick. Still, the Owl Text Always Starts. These numbers may be wrong, had to run a mile in 90 degree florida heat and I'm dizzy now =/

Ah, it has to be first possible frame. I was doing that, but I was trying at 100% speed, no wonder why I couldn't replicate it =/ What does the sequence have to be? like, Deku stick, skip 7 frames, slingshot, skip 7 frames, deku stick, and keep going? I can't figure it out..

Also, I've been hearing alot on skipping the owl after Kokiri Forest. Guano and CF's WIP desynchs for me no matter what plugins I use, so I don't know how it's preformed. Anyone care to enlighten me?

2 bomb hovers...that severely complicates a single segment unassisted run =/ Maybe with alot of practice they become easy, but the timing isn't exactly forgiving is it..? and DaShizNaws, grats on the first sub 2 hour run. Downloading and watching right now. A little unoptimized but with less than 20k rerecords that's to be expected I guess. After a bit of testing I found out a mega flip can be used to make the gap for the odd mushroom. This may be old, but it wasn't used in your run. Edit: Saw the entire run. Sub-1:45:00 should DEFINATELY be possible (I'll probably even attempt it some day) Good Job completing the TAS, how long did that take?
