See, and I'm not sure why that is... Did whoever copied and distributed the disk image just have that world beaten at the time, or are you really supposed to get a free pass there? I think I managed to get the world completion saves completely cleared after beating the game once, but I forget exactly how it happened. This is important to figure out so we don't have disk system game runs desynching because people have different amounts of progress saved.

I think a Mario-only run would be appropriate just because he hasn't really been used in any speed runs here yet. And hey, he's the title character! But maybe it's not necessary.

Okay, I wish you luck with MetalMan's level. That one turned me off to running the game because there are so many enemies to slide through that eventually I'll need to manipulate big energy drops, and that's difficult. (Remember that energy refilling doesn't pause the game like in the rest of the series, so there's no penalty to grabbing a refill besides whatever you have to do to get it.)
