I'm trying to upload a TAS to UserFiles, but the file is .FM3, why isn't .FM3 a valid file type?

I've made a couple TASs for fun (i.e., not intended to be an actual speedrun; just for fun.), but I don't know whether I should upload it to user files, or if I can upload them normally? I'm sorry, I'm very new to doing these sorts of things...

I've already created some TASs of various NES games using FCEUX and I want to post some of those TASs here, but I don't know how I time my TAS, if that makes sense. Do you run a stopwatch, or does FCEUX have a timer feature built-in? I really don't know how to use a lua script or anything like that, so please don't suggest that. (Unless it's the only option.)
