So what was the "suspicious activity?"

Maximum score on any pinball game sounds like a really bad idea just because it would result in going to the quickest renewable source of points and gaming it forever.
Easy enough to solve; you put "fastest time" as a secondary goal.
On the other hand, you could argue that collecting all the rings in the stages would constitute 100%, and you could definitely complete all the bonus stages (and multiball stages) in that.
That also makes sense.

I've idly toyed with doing a "maximum score" run, collecting all the rings and doing all the bonus tables, but I'm really not that good at TASing. How difficult is Sonic Spinball to figure out?

Does that have any TAS potential?

The so-called "beautiful moments" are what make fighting game TASes worth watching. This got boring in a big hurry, because you did the same thing to every opponent. Voting No.

This is (obviously) just my opinion, but I'd rather see as many new tricks as possible in a new 100%, even if it means sacrificing some time.

That was a great run. Loved the enemy massacre, and the new routes were really cool. Only disappointment is that each new run seems to get further and further from averaging 100,000 points per world, but that's just me being mildly OCD. Yes vote.

Your "Minimum holds" category would be better named "shortest button press time," I think.

But what about publishing as a concept demo (for any game with an MP run) and linking to it from the any% text?
The problem with that is that we have no concept demo section anymore :)
Like I've said, I think a good solution is for movies like this to have an "Unconventional Goals" tag.

One major issue needs to be addressed here and thats the fact that the game can be beaten using HSWKs. BLJless run seems a bit arbitary to me.
I think that can be covered with "Does not use acceleration-related glitches" as a goal.

We actually don't have a 70-star run published yet; this the first submission for the category.

70 stars is a legitimate goal; it's the minimum number to beat the game as the developers intended.

As far as I know, BLJ is not a bug that destroys normal gameplay, so this run just feels like a step backwards for me.
Heh, you'd be surprised what it can destroy. Trust me.
I only ask to be proven wrong then! :)
Umm, the five minute published run that collects no stars and exploits the shit out of BLJing?

One thing I forgot to mention when I voted...I was disappointed at the lack of representation of some levels. You completely skipped Jolly Roger Bay, and took only two or three stars from a number of other levels. I understand you probably took the 70 fastest stars, but I'd've been happier with "4 stars from each level and then 10 secret stars." Of course, that's just my opinion.

Excellent run. Easy Yes vote. I was kinda paranoid toward the end that you were going to HSWK up the Endless Stairs and get the Bowser in the Sky star for the 70th. If you'd done that, I'd've turned the emulator off and voted No instantly.

Hell yeah. Nahoc said in the IRC that you guys were just waiting on the encode to submit it. What's the delay? Writing the submission text?

This movie does everything the published run does in almost the same order, it just does a lot more later on with some extras interspersed along the way.

While I wouldn't call it a 100% run, I think there's more entertainment here than there was in the currently published movie, so my Yes vote will include the proposition that this movie obsolete that one.

Looked terrific. I still don't like skimming under Oil Ocean Zone, but I will grant that it's way faster than going through them normally. Yes vote.

Apparently, Oyster overlaid a translation of the game onto his Let's Play of it. http://lparchive.org/Super-Adventure-Rockman/

So if you die in the middle of a BLJ, you keep your momentum when you regain control? Interesting...
