If I recall correctly, the problem with GAMBOL is that the timing is OFF, not that it's STRICT.

Awesome as hell. If we hadn't already published the YI3 glitched ending, I would argue that this should be the one published.

That was very interesting. Being a former DDR/In The Groove fanboy, I liked that part of the encode, and I'm also very surprised at how (comparatively) little time you sacrificed for the primary goal. I vote Yes to publication as a concept demo.

Voting No. Should have used the beetle's self-destruct when you lose to finish maxing the score.

Known improvements are not generally grounds for rejection.

I'd be in favor of this run obsoleting the Bad Ending run, since this one shows more of the game and doesn't take all that much longer.

I'm sorry, Shyft-, but that is about the worst rationale I've ever heard for a No vote.

Because Voltron is in a completely different universe from Power Rangers Turbo, and is most decidedly not the TurboMegazord.

Why would you wait until after the Prophallus fight to get Megid? I don't get it.

You don't NEED a script, but I imagine it would make it a lot easier.

You could see if there is (or if someone could write) a multi-track recording Lua script. I know there's one for Genesis.

Remember, hacks are judged on their own merits now. Honestly, I think TSRPR and TSRP2 would have a good chance of both being published, since they're part of a series, and both are extremely good hacks. EDIT: But if only one of them was going to be published, I would say it should be TSRPR, because TSRP2 is kind of bullshit-hard in places, and has almost nothing truly "original" to it (most of the new graphics and music are ripped from All-Stars) whereas TSRPR recycled nothing from All-Stars, almost all the sprites are updated, the music sound great for chiptunes, etc.

That was awesome. I've been hoping to see a 100% TAS of TSRPR; thank you for beginning to deliver. Do you intend to submit this when you're done? It certainly looks to be of publishable quality.

I'm just a layman when it comes to coding. Your idea did not occur to me.

Game Genie et al. are third-party items. The disc tray of a console is not.
Neither is a crooked cartridge or a scratched game disc. Where do we put a line on hardware abuse?
I sort of see what you're getting at, although I can't think of any situation where cartridge-tilting or a damaged ROM would be a benefit. The first is a moot point too, though, since cartridge tilting is impossible to emulate. Don't know if there's any reliable way to create a damaged ROM, although the existence of the [b] ROM tag implies there is.

If that's all it takes, then gamegenie and other such cheating can also be done with hardware, so let's just use some code that skips directly to the end of the game and be done with it.
Game Genie et al. are third-party items. The disc tray of a console is not. I'd prefer to see the cutscenes left in, just pointing out what I see as a fallacy.

mike89 did a lot of research on no-rings runs, and concluded it was only possible in the Knuckles in Sonic 1 hack. Tails could probably do it too.

The goal proposed in the thread to nix abuse of Casino Night's slot machines was "Maximum in-level rings," which I think works.
