My thoughts as I watch: Wire Sponge's stage looked good. I always thought it was faster to charge-drill with the Ride Armor at that point in Wheel Gator's stage. Could you have switched to the X-Buster to shoot the bird down before Strike Chaining to the wall, to avoid having to wait for it? The gate in Bubble Crab's stage opens from the right, so I think you could have saved some time by falling a bit earlier. The fight with Magna Centipede was terrible, at least as compared to FractalFusion's low% run. Some of that may be due to the RNG, and it DID look like you were trying to do some luck manipulation, but it didn't seem to do much. If you'd jumped earlier from the hi-speed slope after the Crystal Snail miniboss, I think you could've made it farther with the speed. Excellent use of the Strike Chain during X-Hunter 1. You could have opened the Violen fight with a dash shot to inflict damage before you were in range for Bubble Splash. Serges in X-Hunter 2 was definitely slower than in either of the published runs. During the Magna Centipede refight, you don't hit him at all right before he leaps from the right side of the screen to the left. Why? Other than that, better job manipulating him this time, aside from when he used a chain-teleport. Just a comment on Bubble Crab: I thought I remembered being able to hit him four times with each Spinning Wheel. Excellent job manipulating Zero's pattern. If you manipulate Sigma Virus's actions right, you can keep him from disappearing before you can kill him. Overall, not a bad first submission at all, but just not polished enough compared to the existing runs. Additionally, the only thing we get in this run that we don't in the published runs is that you actually fight Zero instead of cheesing him with the Shoryuken. Out of respect for the effort that went into this, I'll refrain from voting.

If it was me doing the TAS, I'd use the Gaea Armor in the Sigma level as a speed/entertainment tradeoff. I'd find it more entertaining than more SDC action or Ultimate X spamming Nova Strike.

I'd love to see that; the Gaea Armor actually has extremely good striking power, because the charge shot is almost instantaneous and gives the bosses almost no invulnerability.

I think that's just a thing Youtube is doing, starting your videos at whatever point you stopped watching them at if you didn't finish them.

Quick report on the Hi10p encode: It works perfectly with the 11-11-11 update to the Combined Community Codec Pack. The previous version of it had some video skipping.

This was downright incredible. Easy yes vote, and definitely a contender for TAS of the Year. EDIT: Does Hourglass have Lua support? If it does, would it be possible to convert the commentary into a Lua script for those of us who'd like to watch the run in Hourglass with the commentary?

Voxatron is a twin-stick shooter playable (fairly well) on keyboard, with a mouse, or with a gamepad. Gameplay video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Sm--Qodj34 Currently in public alpha via the The Humble Voxatron Debut, which goes for another four days. I don't know if Hourglass can run it, but I'd be surprised if it couldn't.

Might I suggest DeHackEd's Microstorage script for future sharing? http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php EDIT: Thoughts as I watch... You're starting on the wrong foot right off the bat by using the code for the Kool Stuff menu; those kinds of codes are generally not accepted by TASVideos. vs. Sub-Zero: You overused Stryker's Kick-Punch-Machinegun chain. Looks lazy. We really didn't need Shang Tsung to juggle him with his Fireball Eruption three times. Disappearing Kitana fan was amusing. Nice glitched Sindel fatality. vs. Mileena: Infinite juggles with Nightwolf's hatchet swing is not amusing to me. So that's why you enabled pausing in the Kool Stuff menu. Very funny. vs. Ermac: Disappearing Cyrax is just okay. You overused the Kung Lao jump-kick/whirlwind upppercut chain. Not every fatality needs to be glitched with Fireball Eruption. vs. Reptile: Both rounds were just okay. Again, not every finishing move needs to be glitched with Fireball Eruption. vs. Jade: Excellent pair of fights, both fast-paced. I like unglitched Brutalities, but that's me. vs. Sindel: Looked good. I liked it when you used Fireball Eruption to interrupt her throw, but any trick shouldn't be done more than once in the same TAS, or at the absolute most often, more than once in the same match. Was there any way to spice up that Friendship? Overall, you're improving still, but I would not have voted Yes on this.

Honestly, I found this pretty boring to watch. It's basically guaranteed acceptance since it's an improvement, but since I didn't care for it, I won't vote.

Fantastic improvement. My only complaint was that the glitches resulted in an eye-hurting shade of cyan over the whole screen between Pirate Man and Burner Man. Easy yes vote.

Now, my vote. Honestly, while I did enjoy this, I don't there's anything here that we can't get in SDR's run of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. Out of respect for how much your submissions have improved, I'll refrain from voting.

My thoughts as I watch: vs. Sonya: Why are you not using the Run button? Glitched stage fatality was pretty funny. Fighting was meh, too slow. vs. Sheeva: Really nothing to say. Not bad, but nothing spectacular. vs. Sindel: Disappearing Cyrax at the end of Round 1 was amusing. Glitched Babality was okay. vs. Nightwolf: Good first round, quick and not repetitive. Second round was fairly good too, but the Friendship was just kind of there. vs. Sub-Zero: I liked the freeze shenanigans. Sektor's bit was pretty lackluster, though. Second fight was just okay. vs. Stryker: First fight, again, was kind of meh. Second fight was also kind of meh. And we've seen the glitched hat throw Fatality already, in SDR's published Ultimate MK3 run. vs. Jax: Keeping him in the air for as long as you did with Nightwolf's ax swing was amusing. Stryker's bit was good. vs. Liu Kang: Excellent first fight. Fast-paced, and minimal repetition. Glitched stage Fatality was just okay, again. Didn't really show anything. vs. Kabal: Great first fight. I love the Sub-Zero shenanigans. Second fight was good too; fast, and my favorite of Jax's fatalities. vs. Shang Tsung: Why did you do Disappearing Cyrax again? We've already seen it. Pretty good otherwise. Would have liked to see the Stage Fatality instead of another Babality, though. 2-player fight #1: First round was good; as established, I like freezing shenanigans. Second round was eh. Animality featuring the projectile/Mercy glitch was okay. 2-player fight #2: Randper Kombat is always good for keeping it fresh. I liked these, and Jax's Animality was cool. 2-player fight #3: Why did you wait so long to lock your selections in? Yes, we've seen Nightwolf juggling with his ax. Getting a bit old by now. Unglitched Fatality was nice. Again with the Nightwolf ax-juggle? Smoke getting back up and attacking Nightwolf after FINISH HIM! was funny. Seriously, you are WAY overusing the Nightwolf Ax-Juggle™. How were you able to do an Animality without a Mercy? 2-player fight #4: Quick Babality into the screen having a seizure is hilarious to me. Fight was good too. Second fight was good as well. How were you able to do an Animality on Round 2? Is it to do with putting in the toggle code for One-Button Fatalities? vs. Motaro: It seems like you could have been a lot more aggressive in both rounds. vs. Shao Khan: Both fights were well-paced.

I agree with you guys; the any% is too contested for this, and I did say that in the SMW thread. I also said that a 100% would be sufficiently longer that I don't think it'd matter as much.

TASVideos has always been very accomodating of speed/entertainment tradeoffs, and as I said on page 83 of the SMW thread, 75 frames is a pretty small tradeoff for half of Yoshi's Island looking new.

Okay, YI3, my mistake. But I could have sworn that the overall loss for all of Yoshi's Island was less than 2 seconds considering the extra speed the cape gets you in YI4 and Iggy's Castle. EDIT: Found it. There's a Nicovideo link on page 83 of the SMW thread. Link to the post: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=259274#259274 EDIT 2: Or was that before the Yoshi Wing glitch?
This is ISM's work. I think it was his test to see whether the bug would save time in any% route. Unfortunately it doesn't. Now, with the inclusion of item-swap bug into the any%, it will save even less time, because it becomes impossible to get a stock mushroom in yi2 and do the item-swap, too. But I think the next major improvement for smw will involve this bug. Maybe a faster way will be found to perform it :p
Again, it's only 75 frames. I'd gladly accept that tradeoff for almost half of Yoshi's Island looking different.

This was very cool, but your published SFZero2A run also uses Rose and Dhalsim, and I think the two are way too similar. Voting No.

I think I saw some missed attacks in Round 1, but I'm not sure, it was very fast. Other than that possible criticism, that was very entertaining. Keep at it!

There's a way to glitch a cape feather in YI4, but it's slower, albeit only by about 75 frames, I think it was.

Would it be possible to spawn one in SMW at Bowser with the item swap glitch?
