I had this thought as well. That notwithstanding, this was a lot of fun to watch, and the technical quality looked good. Yes vote.

The ultimate Nickelodeon original is Rocko's Modern Life. Nothing else I've seen of theirs even comes close to the level of funny that Rocko's Modern Life put out. Admittedly, it was one of the last of the NickToons I saw; I lost interest in Nickelodeon as a channel I think around when Rocket Power came out.

Great idea to use the bonus room to get the cape. Never would have occurred to me.

You're always supposed to bump, and in cases like this, the new thread generally gets merged into the older one.

That was actually pretty good. I think this is worthy of publication as a concept demo. Yes vote.

Haven't watched your latest WIP, but I did watch the 8-Maverick one, and I was very impressed. One thing I'm curious about, from when you collected the Torso upgrade: how did you use firing a level 1 charge shot to reset the air-dash check? Also, are you going to collect the Gold Chip?

Holy mother of God, I have been hoping for this for a long time. Unfortunately, I don't have a JP Einhander image, so also waiting on encode.

I think the currently published SMW small-only run set the bar for small-only in SMW hacks. * Maximum levels possible * No collecting any feathers, flowers, or mushrooms * No Yoshi * No Switch Palaces I like your WIP regardless, though.

The rule of thumb is "Use the (U) version unless another version is clearly better."

Cool to hear you picked this back up. I got hopelessly stuck at the pipe-maze level in the 7th world, I think it was. Any particular reason you're not going to announce progress?

There is a precedent for rejecting runs because a better one is in production (see here), but IMO it's a horrendously stupid one, as it resulted in what I'm pretty sure was a good submission being rejected, while the movie that was supposedly "better" is nowhere to be found.

Some of the hacks have their own threads. Check and see first.

Why do you need Tails to not be present for this shortcut? Admittedly, it's been a while since I played S3&K, but I don't remember him de-spawning being relevant at all in an unglitched fight.

There's an unfortunate tradeoff here, though. Although the stylus makes the puzzles quick to solve, it also means that you can't really see individual moves in progress.
I think that for this reason, a sub-optimal (speedwise) run would be warranted for this game, perhaps only clearing one pair of tiles per second.

Even if it doesn't save in-game time, I'd say to go for it if it saves real-time, because it'll be something different.

That was awesome. During that last star, my thought process went something like this... "Okay, hasn't he gotten all the stars he can here?" "Wait, how is he going to get enough height to butt-stomp King Whomp?" *collects the star* "WHAT!?" EDIT: Can you share the m64, Mickey?

I'd suggest you use DeHackEd's Microstorgage script for sharing your movie files. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php

Having seen DarkKobold's judging, I have to agree with him; just because it's entertaining doesn't mean we should publish it.

Also, I need to lead off the battle by taking out the shoulder joint and then need to quickly take out his head while it's vulnerable. I don't think the bomb would do enough damage to destroy the joint. I think he also turns and faces you when you hit with a bomb.
My time of 7.70" was accomplished without bombs. L1 Energy Bolt to the left arm joint, L1 Energy Bolt to the head, L1 Energy Bolt to the right arm joint, and he's down.

I think this exemption is worth making, because it brings something new to the table, in the form of the X-Ray/Plasma glitches and the new route facilitated by the GT code.

It plays the two bonus levels, Aztec and Egyptian; Rising Tempest's run does not.

If memory serves, backing out of Ridley's room at Ceres by destroying the door does not trigger the Ceres destruction; I know I've done it before on console, but it's been a long time, so I could be remembering wrong.

The step from that to allowing gamegenie cheat codes is disturbingly small.
I don't see why you think so. Game Genie codes hack the game with the use of an external device. That is not the case here.
