We already have hero of the day's run beating the game from fresh SRAM, and another run doing that (using fresh SRAM) would be nearly identical to his up to around getting the Winged Epoch, which IMO does not make for good entertainment (that's at least three hours of nearly identical movie, probably more; I don't remember exactly how long it takes hero of the day's movie to get there.)
The way I'm figuring it, doing an "All Quests" run as a NewGame+ would tremendously cut down on the length of it (you'd be mostly one-shotting bosses probably up to Magus, no need to train) and personally, I would also make it a Speed/Entertainment Tradeoff run and show off all of the Double- and TripleTechs, including Rock-enabled ones. There'd also be no gathering of equipment needed; you can just do all that in the verification movie. Doing that (creating a verification movie) is what's really daunting me; as I mentioned, I just beat CT a few days ago from a fresh start, and I'm not too keen on doing it again so soon. (I don't know the details on the SRAM Saturn used for his quick-win NG+, but I would bet that only Crono and Marle are optimized, since they're the only characters used.)
I just beat Chrono Trigger last night, and I was wondering...would there be any interest in an "All Quests" run? I might be interested in giving that a shot. If I do, I would argue that it should be a "Newgame+" run to cut down on the length of it.
I was partially wrong about the Twin Laser on the Stage 3 boss; it can hit his first form, but the Flamethrower is a better option there anyway. On his second form, it was VERY effective.

Recorded with SNES9X 1.43+ v13. It's kinda rough in the first few stages because I wasn't really tool-assisting when I started it, and I'm still learning the ropes of SNES9X for TASing. (I normally use ZSNES, because its' Rewind button is extremely handy.)
And since this was just a test run, I didn't really do stuff like optimizing Mario's movement speed via stuff like the hopping glitch or 1/1 swimming.
The craziest dream I ever had was me in the Bunker from Goldeneye, fighting evil Tiberium-mutated Pokemon which were spawning out of evil hearts being controlled by Peppy Hare.
I was pretty entertained by your test run. One thing to bear in mind is that the searchlights in Stage 5 help recharge your weapons gauge, so it might be worth hanging out in front of one to recharge while using the Seeker Falcon (the bird weapon) to keep the enemies off your back.
ALSO: Is there a reason you picked up the Proton Burst (in Stage 4) if you weren't going to use it?
ALSO ALSO: The Twin Laser has no effect on the Stage 3 boss; it just bounces off him.
As the name suggests, The Second Reality Project Reloaded is a remake of the original Second Reality Project. I think it has a lot of TAS potential; I'm currently testrunning it (going for fastest completion, I think 27 exits) and expect a completion time of around 45 minutes. I should be done with the test run tomorrow, but I'm not sure if I have enough patience (or the TASing skill) to do a full run up to the standard of the current SMW/SDW runs.
The patch can be downloaded from http://www.fpi-productions.de/ , or from http://www.smwcentral.net/?p=showhack&id=1178. Patch it to a headered copy of Super Mario World (U) [!].smc. Removing the header-offset with NSRT's IPSEdit tool will NOT work.
I'm working on improving the run again. As of Red Saber in Stage 2, I'm 400 or so frames faster than my published run. Right now, I'm trying to figure out how to prevent a Cloud Surfer from dropping off his cloud, which continues sailing on and results in Red Saber spawning being delayed about 59 frames.

Unfortunately, Filespace appears to have died, and I doubt DeHackEd plans to make Microstorage ZMV-compatible.
Voted 8 for entertainment, 9 for technical, and I believe this movie should be published because it goes about beating the game in an entirely different fashion from the 6% run. IMO, it's like the equivalent of Gia's Pokemon Yellow run and Primo's Pokemon Green run; both runs beat the game, but do it differently enough to warrant separate publication.
I've said it before and will say it again.
Technically very good, but since it was in Japanese, it lost some of the entertainment value. Not too much, though.
For Extreme Luck Manipulation, I submit Zareon's unsubmitted run of Phantasy Star II.. No optional battles fought, and not a single point of EXP gained from the battles he DID fight.
Extra Mario Bros brings Metroid-style exploration and item collection to a Mario game. The patch for it can be downloaded from http://www.derok.net/emulation0/supermariobros.html (Patch to Super Mario Bros (JU) (PRG0) [!].nes)
I personally don't have the necessary TAS skills to do this, but I figured you guys would be interested. It's a lot of fun.
Potentially stupid question. I have FBA set up on my system, but I can't get it to recognize my roms, even with the paths set up properly. Any idea why this might be? (Windows XP SP3)
I could get behind that. I'd personally love to see a new S3&K run which doesn't glitch through half the game. (I also don't think Nitsuja's run should have obsoleted SprintGod's, but that's neither here nor there.)
