I'm not voting since I didn't finish the movie
Finishing watching the movie is not a requirement for voting. It is your perception of the movie that matters. I usually make my voting/judging decisions from the first few minutes of the movie, unless I know/have read that more interesting content will come up later in the movie. Usually the first few minutes are enough to tell the quality of the playing, as well as the entertainment value of the game.

For some reason, mazzeneko isn't showing up on that page. The first two entries for "SNES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV" have no author shown there.
Whoever created the player entry for him ( http://tasvideos.org/Players-56up.html ), did not fill the short name field. That is the reason.

Rulewise, this movie is as clean as it gets. Doing all eight stages leaves no point for argument. I also verified, and you never did reset the game before the door opened, so it's clean in that aspect too. Perfectionwise, you have done good job optimizing each stage via several iterations. Entertainmentwise ― this movie does not really offer anything interesting for those who have never seen this game. Those who have, get quickly bored. Only the music is interesting; it is a brainrelaxer in the same way as the Jackie Chan's Kungfu background music is. You can easily jump over minutes of the movie and you won't miss anything. Well, except for the four or so times Black walks into his own trap, which are quite amusing I must admit. As a trip down the memory lane, that purpose would have been accomplished in just the first 20 seconds of this movie. I.e. this movie is way too long. The only thing that deserves merit is the level of perfection that you have done. I cannot say that it is enough to get this movie published on the front page. My vote is "no".

Recent no-voters on this thread: – OgreSlayeR (total 10 votes (majority "no")) – VANDAL (total 18 votes (majority "yes")) – Dromiceius (total 74 votes (mostly from time before vote tracking was built))) – mrz (total 74 votes (majority "yes")). Not as cool as in Japan though. Finland has recently developed a tradition of milking out the old technology as long as people pay for it (and they do), and only then introducing newer technology. (This only applies at the market. Nokia exports better phones than they sell domestically.)

I am with JXQ with this; I don't think two movies should be kept at the same time. (The demonstration movie excluded.)

Nope, sorry. I published some of them at my site in its early days, but they are no longer available here. (And I don't have them.)

This is probably the biggest site that concentrates exclusively on movies that are created on an emulator. Games completed on the real console don't produce a movie file. I know Doomworld produces also the movie files of their records (in fact, they only publish those, and not AVIs). If you are interested in Doom speedruns, check http://www.doomworld.com/tas/. TAS-making is also known in Japan (under the term "timeattack", タイムアタック), but they are generally found in rather closed communities with no contact to foreign countries. One such site is http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Denei/3370/entry.htm. Naturally, it is in Japanese language. (You need to select SJIS encoding manually because it's a designed-for-Microsoft-IE-with-Japanese-defaults page.) Then there are plenty of individual publishers who only publish their own movies. Many of their productions are also found on this site. Your best bet is to use a search engine such as http://www.google.com/.

You got a very high speed suddenly at frame 1340 with seemingly no stretching at all. Level 3 strategy looks a lot smoother than in previous published movies.

I've heard there's someone who can do 20 Hz. Can't back it up with references now though.

Here's a tool to help in finding situations where branch names could apply. It can also be used to resolve misspellings / inconsistencies between game names, game versions and branch names spelled differently in different releases. I already fixed a dozen of those. http://tasvideos.org/ListAllMovies.html

no, and no. 1) I did however fix the column width problem at the forum view. (Different page from what you linked to.) 2) I hate links that unexpectedly do "open in a new window" when I don't want that. If I want to open it in a new tab, I ctrl-click it. If I want it to open it in a new window, I rightclick it and select "open in a new window". Otherwise I expect it to follow the link in the same window.

The only All Stars movie accepted is warpless SMB2j. There has not been a warpless SMB2j so far (that plays all the secret stages).

Not a "General" topic! Moving into the applicable Pokémon game thread (or at least the Game Boy Advance thread). It's a GBA game, right?

The physics and scenes of this game remind me of Legend of Kage...
