It is slightly more different to implement, but I'll consider it. Anyone has a good idea of the formula that should be used?

I have considered this idea but I have not yet seen the benefits of doing so. (Also, it has some technical difficulties in implementing, such as deciding how to sort movies.) Also, it is already displayed there how many votes the rating bases on, so anyone can make their own interpretations on it.

May 25th, I reapplied to Google Adsense, using another e-mail address I have (because e-mail address = account name), and the newly acquired domain name, http://tasvideos.org/ . This time I applied in Finnish, with the site language in English. I checked carefully that all data I entered was correct, and submitted the application. June 1st, I received a reply from Google Adsense, in Finnish, saying this (translated to English by me):
Google Adsense wrote:
Hello Joel Yliluoma, Thank you for your interest towards the Google AdSense program. Our experts noticed, that your application does not concord with our program rules. Therefore we cannot accept you into the program. We use certain rules, which we believe they guarantee that Google advertisements are effective for both the publishers and the advertisers. We verify all publishers and reserve the right to reject applications. When our program evolves, we may be able to broaden it for the use of even more and even bigger web-publishers. Remember, that we might be unable to answer your questions regarding the reasons of our decision. Thank you for understanding. Sincerely, The Google AdSense Team
This response was certainly ambiguous. It left a huge gaping hole for interpretation what they considered "did not concord with the program rules". So I filled the form again, and reapplied, reading the rules many times carefully and checking carefully that all the fields I filled were correctly filled. I submitted it the same day, June 1st. June 8th, I received a response ― identical to the one I received June 1st (quoted above). So now I sent them a query asking them to explain themselves, telling that I checked dozen times that everything in my application should be allright according to their program rules. I will show that post here later. Just thought I should share this interchange with the readers of this thread. Yes, I know, I ought to have already buried the wounds from the previous battle, but I am not giving up easily :I Ps: Reading the posts of this thread once again, certain nerds might be able to deduce how my avatar actually works. [Edit: Added a sentence of the quoted post that was missing.]

About 9 hours ago (from the time of this posting) there was an unscheduled blackdown, which shut down servers and stuff. The site was unaccessible until about 8am (4.5 hours ago) when I woke up. The forums were unaccessible until about now, when I repaired the mysql tables. However, there will be a scheduled downtime of 2-3 hours in about 16 hours because of some cable work in the building.

I just found another clue to the Crashman Bomb damage trick. Look carefully at this animation. It has two movies, both begin identically. The enemies are in identical position in both movies, and both shoot at the same time at the same place. Still, in the leftside image, the enemy is destroyed, and in the rightside, not. There definitely is something that affects enemies' weapon collision checking when Rockman takes damage from that particular enemy.

This movie is actually mysteriously on the top-three list of my ratings. I think it is very good.

Does this mean you have to redo a bunch of stuff again?
We were already redoing a bunch of stuff because the Woodman stage was changed. Bubbleman stage is just en-route to the stages we were at (Wily1/Wily2) before that happened. But thanks to this diversion, we are now about 180-200 frames ahead the WIPs posted … before. ∼+165 due to woodman changes ∼−15 due to automatic losses in copypasting ∼+50 due to improvements in Bubbleman stage

Not without seeing if the Rush Jet zip can be applied anywhere else
It can be applied anywhere where there's room to summon RJ and to face an enemy heads-on. Should you try to pass through a wall, the wall must be short enough so that Rockman can zip through it before his blinking wears off. The better question is, is there any location where it would do any good? To find the answer to that question, you don't need anyone who can actually perform the trick.

That game looks and sounds suspiciously similar to Fist of the North Star indeed. I confirm Phil's explanation. But, my vote goes to 'reject'. The perfection of this movie is not obvious -- there are many noticeable delays that I know from experience in other games that there are usually ways to work around them with luck manipulation or other means. As for the entertainment, the difficulty seems higher than in the 2nd game, which compensates somewhat for the lack of charm. But not enough in my opinion, also considering that this is quite unknown game.

Yeah, it does. There is a secret function. I wrote a program which changes the palette of a PNG file. It has a purpose. The source code is <a href="http://bisqwit.iki.fi/kala/hloopsrc.png">here</a> (modified slightly so that it works without external settings.) So that's what it meant when people were rating the existing Super Turrican movie lower than I thought. I somehow didn't notice this submission before :o If it's faster than the existing movie (even by this wide marginal), it should be accepted. However, I'm concerned about Truncated's finding. Does the author comment? Is there a new movie being made? If there is, or there is potential that a new movie will be made, it should not be accepted.

I've been thinking of a similar thing, possibly recorded with video camera or something. But these are ideas that never get done...
